Hai Phong Customs collected nearly 5,300 billion VND in budget revenue in the first month of the year

(HQ Online) - Budget collection results at Hai Phong Customs Department in the first month of 2024 showed many positive signs, especially in Hai Phong area.

In January 2024, the budget revenue of Hai Phong Customs Department was 5,272.4 billion VND, reaching 7.93% of the assigned target (66,490 billion VND), an increase of 154 billion VND (equivalent to 3%) over the same period in 2023.

Notably, Hai Phong area alone collected 4,442.8 billion VND, reaching 7.56% of the assigned target (58,800 billion VND), reaching 7.4% of the target assigned by the People's Committee (60,000 billion VND), an increase of 214.8 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 5.08%) over the same period in 2023.

The area of ​​3 provinces outside Hai Phong collected 829.5 billion VND, reaching 10.79% of the assigned target (7,690 billion VND).

In January, the entire Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 14,159 enterprises, with 214,914 declarations, total import-export turnover reached 10.4 billion USD, of which, export reached 5.21 billion USD, import reached 5.19 billion USD.

Particularly during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday (from February 8, 2024 to February 14, 2024), Hai Phong Customs Department processed 228 import-export declarations, with a turnover of 31.044 million USD, and an import-export tax of 21.9 billion VND, of which 163 declarations were cleared (the remaining declarations have not been cleared because businesses have not paid taxes...).

In addition, the unit supervised 101 ships, including 46 incoming ships and 55 outgoing ships; carried out immigration procedures for 10 incoming flights with 1,031 incoming passengers and 5 outgoing flights with 785 outgoing passengers via Cat Bi International Airport.
