
According to the Vietnam Road Administration, for long-distance vehicles or heavy-duty trucks, the unit has coordinated with the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Ngai province, the Traffic Police Department and local police to organize traffic flow from a distance onto the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, in the North at the Chu Lai - Truong Hai intersection and in the South at the end of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway access road.
Specifically, vehicles from the North can turn right at the Chu Lai - Truong Hai intersection (Nui Thanh commune) to go on the highway to the intersection Km1063 + 720 (corresponding to the intersection between National Highway 1 and the highway at Km139 + 204), then continue their journey to the South.
In the opposite direction, vehicles from the South can move onto the highway at the end of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway to avoid flooded areas.
For vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 from the North to Doc Soi intersection (Km1028), turn left and follow the local route through Dung Quat Industrial Park, then return to National Highway 1 at Binh Long intersection (Km1040+200) and vice versa.
A representative of the Vietnam Road Administration said that this is a near-distance diversion plan, helping to maintain continuous traffic flow and limit congestion in the area.
According to the Vietnam Road Administration, floodwaters touched the Chau O bridge girder on National Highway 1, posing a risk to the safety of the project. Floodwaters touched the Chau O bridge girder at Km1036+261 of National Highway 1 through Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province, threatening the safety of the project.
To ensure safety, authorities have closed the bridge and regulated traffic on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway and Dung Quat route.
Road Management Area III has also directed to assign people to be on duty, monitor the situation and coordinate with local forces to ensure construction safety, traffic flow, regulation and guidance.
