According to the response scenario for level 5 storms, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune has 9,639 households with 36,208 people; Phu My Dong commune has 378 households with 1,416 people and Phu My Bac commune has 155 households with 576 people that need to be evacuated to mixed or concentrated housing.

In recent days, localities have regularly monitored weather developments; actively implemented measures to respond to storm No. 13, especially regularly mobilizing and propagating to people about the danger level of the storm; mobilizing shock forces to support people in tying and reinforcing their houses; and urgently evacuating people to safety.

After inspecting some key points, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: Tuy Phuoc Dong, Phu My Dong and Phu My Bac communes are forecasted to be seriously affected by storm No. 13. Therefore, local disaster response forces need to urgently check the situation, urge storm prevention and control work according to the "4 on-site" principle; be on duty 24/24 hours at assigned locations to promptly respond and handle arising situations, minimizing damage to people and property. In particular, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to thoroughly evacuate people (including forced evacuation) from coastal areas, low-lying areas and places with high risk of landslides; not let people return to their old residences when safety is not guaranteed.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the province has just advanced more than 53 billion VND from the provincial budget to the People's Committees of communes and wards to support the evacuation of people in response to storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi storm). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to strictly carry out the evacuation of people from dangerous areas, while ensuring medical care, providing food and drinking water for people at evacuation sites; supporting households receiving evacuees. Localities also need to check the interleaved evacuation plan, fully prepare logistics at concentrated evacuation points, and continuously update evacuation data on the Disaster Prevention and Control Information System software to serve the direction and response work.
Along with that, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested the military and police forces to participate in supporting the evacuation of people and be ready to mobilize rescue forces in case of emergency.
