Dedicated to the movement

Having been involved in the work of the Hamlet Front since 2019, comrade Nguyen Van Diem (46 years old, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Hamlet Front Work Committee, Hamlet 1, Phong Thanh Commune) and the collective have flexibly applied many forms of propaganda, mobilizing people to plant ornamental hedges, build sanitary garbage pits, install public lighting, and especially participate in health insurance (HI). Thanks to this effort, up to now, over 90% of the people of Hamlet 1 have health insurance cards, contributing to health care and risk sharing in the community.

In order to raise awareness of environmental protection and maintain sustainable livelihoods, Comrade Diem regularly reminds people to pay attention to the water source for semi-intensive shrimp farming - the main economic source of 408 households. This is a quiet but extremely important job, especially in the context of unclean water for shrimp farming, causing productivity to decrease.

Comrade Nguyen Van Diem and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phong Thanh commune presented the Great Solidarity house to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tim (43 years old) on August 24, 2025.

Those efforts have helped Hamlet 1 have no more poor or near-poor households and especially achieve the model new rural standards in 2023. The Hamlet 1 Front Working Committee was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the same year.

"Family" of the people

With about 20 years of experience working for the Front, comrade Tran Viet Trung (Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Front Work Committee of Buu 2 Hamlet, Dong Hai Commune) has become a "family member" of most households in the hamlet.

Buu 2 Hamlet has the characteristic of ethnic diversity, mainly Kinh, Khmer, and Chinese people living together. The role of Front cadres here becomes even more important in building the great national unity bloc. Comrade Trung went to each house to grasp the thoughts and aspirations, at the same time conveying the policies of the superiors, calling on the people to respond to the revolutionary movements.

The Front Committee of Buu 2 hamlet has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to overcome difficulties and compete in production. The remarkable result is that in the past year, the hamlet had 70 more rich households, bringing the total number of rich households to 370.

As the locality with Cong Xia market (central market of Dong Hai commune), the Front Work Committee of Buu 2 hamlet regularly coordinates and reminds traders to strictly comply with regulations on food hygiene and safety, prevention of counterfeit and poor quality goods, listing and selling at the right price, especially requirements on fire prevention and fighting.

These achievements contributed to helping Dong Hai commune achieve the standard of an advanced new rural commune and Buu 2 hamlet was chosen to host the National Great Unity Day in 2025.

Rejuvenating the cadres of the Front of hamlets and villages

Comrade Le Thanh Trieu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, highly appreciated the role and contributions of the Front cadres of hamlets and villages. These contributions are clearly demonstrated through the joint work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, legitimate enrichment; effective implementation of movements to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; good implementation of the peak of security and order protection at the grassroots level... The silent work of the Front cadres is the important foundation for successfully implementing the political, economic and social tasks of the locality.

In the context of the country entering an era of strong digital transformation and requiring increasingly high quality of Front work, improving the quality of grassroots cadres is extremely necessary. Even veteran cadres like comrade Trung (60 years old) expressed their desire to be equipped with computers with Internet connection to promptly update information and directive documents.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, in the coming time, it will gradually replace the elderly Front cadres of hamlets and villages with young cadres with professional qualifications. This orientation aims to ensure that the grassroots Front cadres not only maintain their enthusiasm and closeness to the people but also have the qualifications and skills to operate the Front model according to the two-level local political system, apply information technology in propaganda and mobilization, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Village and hamlet Front cadres such as comrade Nguyen Van Diem, Tran Viet Trung... are typical examples of active dedication , deserving of honor. At the same time, this team needs to be supported in terms of mechanisms and working conditions to continue to promote their core role in performing tasks and building the homeland of Ca Mau to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
