Happy Great Unity Day

Co Luong is the first village to organize the National Great Unity Day in early November. From early morning at the village cultural house, many people dressed up in new dresses and shirts to participate in the festival. After reviewing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, evaluating the results of the emulation movements in the past year, with many outstanding collectives and individuals being commended, the villagers participated in cultural and sports exchanges, creating a joyful and united atmosphere. Ms. Lo Thi Thu excitedly shared: I am very happy to participate in the cultural performance at the festival. We have practiced for nearly a month, the performances are imbued with national identity, praising the homeland and country with the desire to contribute to the joy of the festival of our village.

In Co Nang village, to prepare for the National Great Unity Day, people have actively cleaned up the village roads and alleys, practiced performing arts and sports, assigned tasks to each group in charge of activities from organizing, summarizing and evaluating activities during the year to performing arts programs, party meals... Mr. Lo Van Pan, Party cell secretary, Head of Co Nang village, said: The village currently has 117 households, with 3 ethnic groups Thai, Dao, Kinh living together. Every year, the National Great Unity Day in the village is always carefully prepared and organized, with many exciting activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people. This is an opportunity for people in the village to meet, share experiences in economic development, have fun, dance and sing, connect the community, and encourage the spirit of determination to build an increasingly innovative village.

According to the plan, 21 villages of Muong Chien commune will take turns organizing the National Great Unity Day from November 4 to 17. Focus on summarizing and evaluating the results of a year of implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in the movements "National solidarity to build a cultural life", "Cultural family", "Cultural residential area", building new rural areas... Along with that, cultural, artistic and sports activities are organized with a scale and form suitable to the conditions of each residential area, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people on the occasion of the festival honoring the tradition of national unity.

Thanks to the spirit of solidarity, in recent years, people in Muong Chien commune have unanimously and effectively implemented many emulation movements launched by all levels. From 2024 to now, people have voluntarily donated 350m² of land and contributed 600 working days to concretize 5.7 km of roads. The whole commune currently has 85% of the main and inner-village roads concretized; over 95% of households have solid houses; 21/21 villages have achieved the title of "Cultural Village"; the rate of cultural families in the whole commune is 87%. The material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving, the average income per capita is estimated at 45 million VND/year. The poverty rate has decreased to 11%.

Mr. Mao Van Phong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Muong Chien Commune, said: The Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has directed and guided the villages to organize activities to ensure solemnity, economy and efficiency, in line with the meaning and spirit of the National Great Unity Day. In the coming time, the commune will continue to launch emulation movements towards the grassroots, especially the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; strengthen propaganda, mobilization, arouse the spirit of solidarity, and unanimously implement the commune's development plans and goals in the new period.

With careful and thorough preparation, the National Great Unity Day in the villages of Muong Chien commune is taking place enthusiastically, creating great spiritual motivation, encouraging cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the commune to continue to unite and successfully implement the goals set out in the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
