Since the morning of November 6, Lam Dong province has had heavy rain, the water flow into hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs is very large.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 15 has strengthened to level 15 (167-183km/h), gusting to level 17. It is forecast that this evening, the storm will reach the coastal area of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak with very strong intensity, level 13-14, gusting to level 17. The storm will then move deep into the mainland of this area.
Although not directly entering Lam Dong province, storm No. 13 is forecast to cause very heavy rain in the locality.
According to Dai Ninh Hydropower Company, at 11:00 a.m. on November 6, the water level of Dai Ninh Lake reached 878.372 m, the water flow into the lake was 142 m3/s. From 1:00 p.m. on the same day, Dai Ninh Hydropower Lake increased the water discharge level through the spillway from 150 m3/s to 200 m3/s.

Similarly, Dong Nai 2 Hydropower Company said that at 10:00 a.m. on November 6, the water level of Dong Nai 2 reservoir reached 679,545 m. From 1:00 p.m. on the same day, Dong Nai 2 Hydropower reservoir discharged a total of 260 m3/s through the spillway.
On the afternoon of November 6, Lam Dong province had very heavy rain, water from the upper reaches of rivers and streams was still pouring into the Dong Nai river system.
Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Plants of Dong Nai Hydropower Company also announced to increase the regulated water discharge level through the spillway at 12 noon today, from 37m3/s to 100 m3/s.
Depending on the water flow into the lake, hydropower companies in Lam Dong province will increase or decrease water discharge.
In the old Lam Dong province alone, there are currently 33 hydroelectric reservoirs, most of which are built on the Dong Nai river system.
Early this afternoon, the Lam Dong Province Hydrometeorological Station issued a warning of dangerous weather. Accordingly, Lam Dong Province is experiencing heavy to very heavy rain, especially in Suoi Kiet Commune 103.2mm, Minh Tam Commune 65.5mm, Bao Loc area 61.8mm... Water levels on all rivers and streams in Lam Dong are rising sharply.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 to 48 hours, Lam Dong province will have heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms. In the North and Northeast of Lam Dong province, rainfall will generally range from 50mm to 100mm, in some places reaching 120mm/24h, with very rough seas.
To proactively respond to storm No. 13, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi issued an urgent notice assigning leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to be on duty. Specifically, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc are on duty in area 1 (former Lam Dong province); Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh is on duty in area 2 (former Binh Thuan province) and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen is on duty in area 3 (former Dak Nong province).
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested localities to fully prepare forces, means, and materials according to the "4 on-site" motto, and at the same time review and inspect the safety of lake systems, irrigation dams, hydroelectric plants, residential areas along rivers, streams, and areas at risk of landslides and floods to proactively respond.
