After the experimental and groundbreaking albums of the past years such as “Human”, “Multiverse”, where Tung Duong’s voice was free to explode in new, pioneering and avant-garde musical spaces, “The Voice – Timeless” brings that voice back to its most quintessential and refined form. There, the beauty of the voice goes hand in hand with the melodies that have accompanied the memories, the memories and souls of many generations of Vietnamese music lovers.

The album “The Voice – Timeless” consists of 8 songs, which can be considered a “requested” collection because they are all songs that Tung Duong’s fans have loved for many years and always wanted to have the most perfect recorded version to enjoy.

“Alone” (Lam Phuong) and “Loneliness” (Nguyen Anh 9), “Sadness” (Pham Duy – Huy Can) and “The heart of the traveler” (Anh Bang), “Alone in a corner of the sky” (Ngo Thuy Mien) and “The footprints of paradise” (Trinh Cong Son), “Lullaby of sorrow” (Trinh Cong Son) and “Eternal love” (Pham Duy – Minh Duc Hoai Trinh) are classic songs that have transcended time, becoming passionate and full of emotion through Tung Duong’s voice.

The project's music director - musician Hong Kien brought a multi-colored musical space on a seemingly monochromatic background (because they were all familiar songs, timeless love songs), from gentle semi-classical, to a bit of improvisational jazz and emotional funky/soul style through which Tung Duong expressed the changing beauty of his singing.

“Tung Duong’s voice is now at its peak, combined with his experience and careful research on music and singing style, so it seems like Tung Duong flies through the arrangements, sometimes harmonious, sometimes relaxed, sometimes fierce, very versatile. Tung Duong is enthusiastic, but this time his voice is tolerant, experienced, and steps back to clearly see the picture of Vietnamese music through many periods,” musician Hong Kien shared.

The album “The Voice – Timeless” will be the beginning of a series of musical products with the aim of preserving the quintessence of Tung Duong’s voice and bringing immortal songs back to today’s musical life in a new way while respecting past values.
