Thousands of people attend Vietnam's largest hot air balloon festival

On April 27, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hot Air Balloon Festival with the largest scale ever.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, the program brings together 50 hot air balloons symbolizing 50 years of Southern Liberation and national reunification.

This is the largest hot air balloon festival ever in Vietnam, attracting thousands of tourists and locals. The cost of organizing the festival is about 14 billion VND from socialized sources.

The event takes place from April 27-30.

Visitors can enter the gate freely, participate in free flight activities at an altitude of nearly 50m, visit the hot air balloon, admire hot air balloon hanging flights...

From 6:30 am, thousands of people in Bien Hoa city and neighboring localities came to the Festival venue to admire dozens of colorful hot air balloons flying in the blue sky. The festival atmosphere was filled with laughter and excited cheers.

Ms. Pham Thi Kim Chung, residing in An Binh ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, said that she and her family members were very excited so they arrived very early, chose a good location, and registered to experience the hot air balloon flight.

“The first time I experienced flying on a hot air balloon, I was very excited. From the height of 50m, I could see the beautiful city of Bien Hoa, the winding Dong Nai River, the peaceful scenery. This will be an unforgettable impression in my life,” Ms. Chung excitedly shared.

Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that the Hot Air Balloon Festival is a unique cultural and tourism event, marking a new development step in the strategy of promoting the image and tourism potential of Dong Nai. The province wishes to build a brand of unique tourism products, creating strong appeal, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.

Coming to the Festival, visitors can also participate in the magical and sparkling hot air balloon lantern night. In addition, there are also supporting performances such as: motorized paragliders, fabric-wing airplanes, artistic aerodynamic kites, children's brass band performances...

Mr. Duong Minh Dung emphasized that this is not only a festival of color, creativity and investment attraction, but also an opportunity for people and tourists to experience soaring moments and admire the beauty of their homeland from an ideal height.

He believes that the 2025 Hot Air Balloon Festival will bring a lively, attractive and emotional cultural-tourism space for all participants./.
