Thousands of Ao Dai dresses show off their colors at the 2025 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival

On the afternoon of October 31, the Hanoi Department of Tourism announced the official activities that will take place within the framework of the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2025.

This is an annual activity of the city to promote tourism in the capital associated with honoring, preserving and spreading unique intangible cultural values ​​- Vietnamese ao dai.

This year's festival, taking place over three days at the Hanoi Museum and Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, will bring a colorful cultural space.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang said that after 4 years of organization, Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival has attracted the attention of people and tourists, spreading the love of Ao Dai, promoting Ao Dai as an impressive souvenir product for international tourists when coming to Hanoi, Vietnam.

At the Hanoi Museum, the festival opens a vibrant cultural space where traditional values ​​are recreated and sublimated in contemporary life.

More than 80 elaborately decorated booths, bringing together designers, ao dai brands, weaving, sewing, embroidery, silk villages and typical craftsmen from Hanoi and many localities across the country.

Not just a display area, this is also a journey to discover heritage - where every piece of fabric, every stitch tells a story about Vietnamese hands, soul and identity.

1. Photo exhibition "Hanoi - Heritage Ao Dai", looking back at the journey of Ao Dai through the perspective of art - fashion - culture

2. Experiential workshop series: try embroidering folk motifs, drawing decorative patterns on ao dai, making accessories and jewelry (such as straw bags, clogs, bracelets), making bamboo dragonflies...

The Ao Dai parade around Hoan Kiem Lake includes the reenactment of the Ao Dai Village Ancestor Procession, the Bach Hoa Walking Program and the Ao Dai innovation of Hoan Kiem Ward women, and the Hanoi City Heritage Ao Dai Club, gathering more than 1,000 people in Ao Dai and traditional costumes.
