
Attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; Alternate Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Phan Xuan Thuy, along with representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; veteran journalists, former leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and more than 500 delegates representing nearly 27,000 journalist members nationwide.

“Common roof” creates strength on the ideological front
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh emphasized that exactly 75 years ago, in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province, for the first time under the direction of the Party and Uncle Ho, generations of journalists united and gathered under an organization with the personality and mettle of journalists - the Association of Vietnamese Journalists (the predecessor of the Vietnam Journalists Association).

During the nation's resistance war, the establishment of the Association demonstrated the solidarity and unity in using the power of ideals and the dedication of journalists through their sharp pens to fight alongside the Party in the struggle for independence, freedom and national unification. The Vietnam Journalists Association has grown steadily with all levels of Associations and branches established in all central and local press agencies, contributing significantly to the work of fostering professional skills, improving professional qualifications and especially political qualities for journalists nationwide. Through the voice of the Association, the struggles, the socio-economic development, and the prosperity in all aspects under the leadership of the Party have been strongly communicated.

“Over the past 75 years, the Vietnam Journalists Association has promoted its role as a political - social - professional organization of journalists, innovated its methods of operation, and met the requirements of the new situation: Being the voice of the people, a forum for society, actively participating in social supervision and criticism, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and political system,” emphasized journalist Le Quoc Minh.
According to journalist Le Quoc Minh, entering a new era, an era of national growth, the regional and world context with the rapid development of science and technology poses countless opportunities and decisive challenges, the Vietnam Journalists Association needs to continue to promote its glorious tradition, constantly innovate, enhance its role and position, and be worthy of being a trusted political - social - professional organization - the "common home" of journalists nationwide.
Creativity and innovation to meet the demands of the new era

Congratulating the achievements of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized that over the past 75 years, along with the continuous growth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, the Vietnam Journalists Association has always kept in mind Uncle Ho's advice, truly becoming a "common home" of journalists nationwide, a place to gather and unite journalists, accompanying the Vietnamese revolution through the historical periods of the nation.
The team of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists has developed rapidly and strongly; their professional capacity, expertise, and ability to apply science and technology have also increased, adapting well to the modern media environment, meeting the requirements of information and propaganda tasks in the new period. The quality of press products has continuously increased, achieving strong progress, closely following the modern media trends of international press.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a particularly important year when the country is facing a historic opportunity to make a breakthrough, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy said that the press in the new era must be creative and innovate strongly to meet the needs of the public, keep up with the development of the times, and the country's digital transformation.
In the coming time, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy suggested that all levels of the Journalists Association operating within the framework of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have the responsibility to organize activities in accordance with the policy of "refined, compact, strong, effective and efficient". Along with that, it is necessary to step up the dissemination, information and propaganda work to create high unity and great determination among cadres, party members and people in implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of the political system; information and propaganda contribute to disseminating, raising awareness, creating consensus, support and high unity with the viewpoints, policies and implementation methods of the Party and State on this content of special importance.

Affirming the role and responsibility of the press and the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new era in accordance with the Party's orientation and policy of "building a professional, humane, and modern press and media", comrade Phan Xuan Thuy requested the Association to continue to further deepen its position, role, functions, tasks, principles, and purposes in developing Vietnam's revolutionary press; making recommendations to the Party, State, and Government on policies and mechanisms to support press development, especially in the digital environment...
At the 2025 National Conference of the Vietnam Journalists Association, delegates discussed and clarified key issues guiding the development of the Vietnamese press in the new period; summarized and evaluated the results of the activities of the Association at all levels in 2024, deployed key tasks in 2025; agreed on solutions to overcome difficulties to improve the quality and efficiency of operations and promote the role and position of the Association at all levels in the process of implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently...; assessed the work of supporting press agencies and the Association at all levels; discussed and agreed on the situation and results of the activities of the Association at all levels and press agencies; collected comments, recommendations and proposals from the Association at all levels and press agencies...; synthesized and reported to the Party, the State, relevant ministries and branches on the press development policy mechanism; Share experiences and lessons learned in the process of implementing the Digital Transformation Strategy for Journalism...
