Volunteering journey, connecting the community

Stemming from his love for the less fortunate, Mr. Le Ngo Hai (Long Binh Hamlet, Long Tri Commune, Chau Thanh District, Long An Province) and his family have been quietly involved in charity and humanitarian work for many years. For him and his family, helping others is not only about sharing material things, but also a way to spread love, contributing to making life more meaningful.

Mr. Le Ngo Hai and his wife (Long Binh hamlet, Long Tri commune, Chau Thanh district) always love each other and work together to build a family.

Born into a poor family, Mr. Hai and his two younger siblings had a difficult childhood. His parents worked hard to raise their three children to adulthood, gradually stabilizing their lives . Fulfilling his father's wish as well as the family's wish that when life changes and conditions permit, his family will help those in difficult circumstances around them.

“Every time we give gifts or support the locality, my family, from my mother, younger brother to other members, all contribute money, my brother also mobilizes friends and acquaintances to join. Although the work is small, we always keep in mind that we will help whoever we can, as long as we have the strength, we will continue to share. Seeing the smiles of the lives we have helped, we also feel happy” - Mr. Hai shared.

For the past 10 years, at the end of each year, Mr. Hai’s extended family has pooled money together to give nearly 400 gifts to disadvantaged families in the area. With the hope that the support from his family will help many people overcome difficult times and have more faith and determination to rise up.

In addition, in 2025, Mr. Hai's family also contributed funds to repair and build cultural institutions in Long Binh hamlet with a total cost of 10 million VND; contributed 10 million VND to install a security camera system on the road in Long Binh hamlet, helping to strengthen the work of maintaining security, order and safety for the people.

In addition to being a model citizen in the community, Mr. Hai is also an exemplary husband and father in the family. To him, to maintain happiness and harmony, parents must be role models for their children to follow. In daily life, he always takes the initiative to share the work with his wife.

When his children come home from work or school, he reminds them and guides them to help clean and take care of the house. According to him, no matter how small the job is, if everyone joins in and contributes, it will be easier and faster. More importantly, that sharing also creates a warm, happy and connected atmosphere in the family.
