Exciting 2025 Asian Beach Volleyball Championship

On the morning of April 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province coordinated with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and Cong May Group Joint Stock Company to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 Cloud Gate Cup Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament at Tuy Hoa beach (L'Aurora Phu Yen project area). Attending the event were comrade Dao My, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province.

The organizers presented flowers and souvenir flags to the athletes participating in the tournament.

The tournament attracted 22 teams from 10 countries and territories: Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Vanuatu, China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and Hong Kong (China). The matches will take place until April 28 to select the best pair of athletes of the tournament.

In addition to the matches, the organizers arranged for the athletes to visit scenic spots in Phu Yen, thereby contributing to promoting tourism and culture of Phu Yen.

The representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation affirmed that the tournament in Phu Yen will be very attractive when gathering many quality athletes from the continent. Most of the athletes arrived in Phu Yen quite early to prepare best for the tournament. Vietnam has 4 representatives in this tournament.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, said that athletes from Japan, Australia, China, and Thailand are considered among the candidates to win the championship at this tournament. Meanwhile, Vanuatu is an interesting unknown. Vietnam's representatives can still hope to reach the round of 16 or 1/8, depending on the performance and mentality of the athletes.
