Hau Giang opens 3 river tourism routes

The People's Committee of Hau Giang province has just issued a plan to develop river tourism in the province to exploit and develop river tourism products; increase the experience for tourists but at the same time associate with environmental protection and sustainable development.

According to the plan, Hau Giang province will open a Xa No canal tourism route, the first phase will be exploited in the inner city of Vi Thanh combined with visiting places such as: Vi Thanh market, Vam Cai Sinh Victory relic, Cau Duc pineapple area... This tourist route is expected to be exploited in 2024.

Cai Con River tourist route is connected to Nga Bay floating market, combining visits to Nga Bay floating market and fruit gardens, garden homestays, the relic of the Southern Joint Armistice Committee, the Spring eco-tourism area...

Meanwhile, the tourist route is associated with the river and garden areas, preserving the typical river landscape along the Hau River, combining the experience of working life, daily activities of farmers, green, clean and sustainable agriculture .

Hau Giang province plans to spend about 59 billion VND to invest in upgrading inland waterway ports; renovate urban areas along canals and rivers; upgrade road traffic infrastructure connecting to wharves, at the same time build and expand bus parking lots, and train human resources to serve the development of river tourism./.
