Delegates pressed the button to launch the Smart Tourism System of Hau Giang province.
This is a key project to concretize the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, as well as implement the Project on building e-government and smart cities in Hau Giang province for the period 2020-2025.
The system includes a smart tourism portal (dulich.haugiang.gov.vn) and a smart tourism application on mobile devices (App Hau Giang tourism), operating in the internet environment. The system acts as a bridge between tourists, businesses, and management agencies, bringing practical benefits to each subject.
For tourists, the system helps to look up information about destinations, accommodation, cuisine , and events easily. Users can plan personal travel, book rooms, register for tours, buy tickets online, and use digital maps, navigation, and suggest suitable itineraries by location. One of the new features is the ability to experience 360-degree travel space, helping tourists visualize the destination before departure. In addition, the online service feedback function also helps to improve service quality and satisfaction.
For businesses, the system is a platform to post and update product and service information, promote to tourists, and interact directly with users. This helps businesses access the digital market, optimize business operations, and improve competitiveness.
For state management agencies, the system provides real-time data, supports analysis, statistics, and forecasts of tourism trends, thereby making more effective policy decisions. This is the premise for building a state management model on a digital, modern, and transparent data platform.
During the trial period, the system recorded over 25,000 visits; more than 100 businesses, accommodation, food and beverage, travel establishments and more than 40 tourist destinations across the province were updated.
Hau Giang aims to achieve many important targets in digital transformation by the end of 2025, such as: 100% of administrative procedure results are issued electronically; 100% of people and businesses use VNeID electronic identification when transacting; 90% of work records are processed online and the proportion of digital economy reaches at least 20% of GRDP.
Along with that, the province sets a target of 80% of commercial enterprises using electronic contracts; 50% of small and medium enterprises applying digital platforms; 100% of educational institutions implementing digital transcripts and cashless payments; 100% of hospitals applying electronic health records are also key steps to form a comprehensive digital society.
