Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Xuan District Nguyen Minh Tien said that this session is important for the district to prepare for the transition to a two-level local government model.
Accordingly, the District People's Council reviewed and evaluated the implementation of socio -economic development, security and defense tasks; the results of the District People's Council's activities in the first 6 months of 2025 and other important contents.
In addition, the Thanh Xuan District People's Council also proposed the tasks and activities of the People's Council; plans and methods of implementation when implementing the arrangement of administrative units after July 1, 2025; exercising the right to direct supervision through discussion and questioning activities on issues of interest to voters, people and People's Council delegates.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Thanh Xuan district's economy continued to grow (estimated at 8.7%); state budget revenue in the district achieved good results (as of June 10, 2025, it reached 5,024 billion 731 million VND, equal to 78.22% of the city's assigned estimate). The district also organized to collect public opinions on the arrangement of administrative units in the district with good results.
The district has put into use 54 works and projects; appraised economic and technical reports of construction investment projects, designed construction drawings, and construction estimates for 15 works and projects; implemented site clearance work for 9 projects; and strengthened construction order management.
In the coming time, with the determination to complete the targets and tasks of socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security and strictly implement the policy on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Thanh Xuan District People's Committee continues to promote the spirit of solidarity, strengthen discipline and administrative discipline in performing public duties; strengthen state management and administrative reform, avoid interruptions in the implementation of public services for people and businesses, fully prepare facilities for operation and management when implementing the arrangement according to the 2-level local government organization model.
At the meeting, the District People's Council studied and reviewed 15 reports, 1 submission and passed 1 resolution on the results of monitoring the implementation of legal regulations on non-public medical and pharmaceutical management in Thanh Xuan district from 2021 to present. At the same time, the District People's Council also proposed tasks to be performed when piloting the 2-level local government model on June 20, 2025 and officially coming into operation from July 1, 2025.
On this occasion, Thanh Xuan District People's Council also summarized the activities in the period of 2021-2025, recognized and honored 11 collectives and 21 individuals with outstanding achievements in activities and oriented the contents when switching to the ward-level People's Council government model.
