HBO announced that the next season of House of the Dragon will premiere in early summer 2024. This season will have a total of 8 episodes, 2 fewer than the previous season. Mr. Casey Bloys said that season 2 of House of the Dragon has finished filming and is entering the post-production stage.

The project takes place nearly 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones . A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight has been in development since 2021.
Also according to information from HBO's representative, no artists of the project A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight have been announced yet, due to the impact of the strike in Hollywood.
In addition to House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight , other projects in the Game of Thrones franchise are about to start rolling, with filmmakers currently brainstorming ideas. These projects are all prequels.
