Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem is 'transforming' strongly

SEMIExpo Vietnam 2025 attracts 5,000 delegates and 200 booths from the world's largest technology corporations.

Highlights at SEMIEXPO Vietnam 2025 are the Exhibition and NextGen Hub on Innovation and Career Opportunities, the Summit - a dialogue forum with Government leaders. Along with that are workshops, forums, in-depth discussions and activities connecting the supply chain and developing human resources.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized: "The semiconductor industry is the foundation of the digital age, a strategic technology that helps Vietnam improve its competitiveness and affirm its national position."

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that Vietnam is completing the legal corridor and semiconductor development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2050, and at the same time owning a young human resource, more than 7,000 chip design engineers, along with the presence of Intel, Samsung, Nvidia, Qualcomm... affirming that Vietnam is a new destination in the global semiconductor value chain.

Ms. Linda Tan, President of the Southeast Asia Semiconductor Association, commented that Vietnam has continuously updated policies, invested in infrastructure and talent to promote a global, dynamic and strong ecosystem. With the participation of the world's leading prestigious corporations, SEMIExpo Vietnam 2025 also opens up great opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor supply chain.
