Some performances in the show
“North-South Promise” is a place where memories cannot fade, where promises will forever echo. It is the promise of unification of the entire nation. The program is a journey back to history, with promises written with blood, tears and loyalty of millions of Vietnamese people.
The show gathered 800 artists with nearly 30 spectacular performances. The stage was divided into two blocks symbolizing the North and South, with the image of Hien Luong Bridge across Ben Hai River in the middle.

The program recreated that promise through the language of artistic politics, combining historical documents, thematic reports, animations, music and modern performance technology such as 3D mapping projection technology. One of the emotional highlights of the program was the journey back to the roots of 120 veterans called "North-South Promise".
The program honors the contributions of generations who died for the nation's independence. During the resistance war against the US to unify the country, many sons went to war. Writer and veteran Vu Cong Chien witnessed tens of thousands of Hanoi youths “putting down their pens and going to war”. Their seats were left empty, like the seats of honor in a lecture hall. The first to go made an appointment with the next, meeting on the battlefield and promising to meet again on the day of liberation... The director incorporated the image of a Zil car to recreate the image of carrying soldiers to battle. With this unique scene, thousands of spectators were excited and took out their phones to record the moment. During the program, the organizers brought two tanks weighing tens of tons onto the stage, recreating the image of armored soldiers going into battle. Every time the performance resounded, thousands of audiences responded, holding the national flag in their hands to show national pride. Who leaves without missing their homeland? Who carries a backpack without keeping in their heart the house where their old mother still stands by the door waiting for her son. But more than that, the sons and daughters in their twenties understand that: Ahead is the Fatherland, a sacred promise with their compatriots. The scenes recreating the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers carrying backpacks on the way to fight the enemy are very vivid. Throughout the program, wartime letters were published, touching many viewers. The scene where the wife and daughter in the rear are always a solid support for the father on the front line The performance "Bringing rice to mother plowing" built the image of a village during wartime. Recreating the image of Vietnamese village children during wartime, they had to wear straw hats when going out and going to school... ... hardships in wartime, in life, Vietnamese children always yearn for peace Hien Luong Bridge - Symbol of the aspiration for national unification Singer Hoa Minzy with the song "Green Forest Echoes the Sound of Ta Lu" Revolutionary songs are renewed with a more vibrant rhythm High-altitude fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day
