Hien Thuc loves and loves passionately in Oh Bubbles, Fly Up!

The grief over her brother who passed away at the age of 22, youthful love, the journey of being a single mother, family affection... all are shared by singer Hien Thuc through her "mother's diary" which was compiled into her first book, Bong bong oi, bay len! (Literature Publishing House).

Rarely is there an artist like Hien Thuc - sweet voice, bright smile, quietly writing each unique stroke in an "open diary" on the side of the stage, during tiring tours, in a small empty room, sleepless nights because of missing her mother, because of loving her daughter Gia Bao growing up day by day...

Simple nostalgia

The first book of more than 200 square pages, printed in vintage style by Hien Thuc - a former literature student at Le Quy Don "primary school" ( Ho Chi Minh City) before she became a professional singer, contains over 150 passages written by Hien Thuc about childhood memories, happy and sad experiences, love and nostalgia through the four seasons of spring - summer - autumn - winter.

The emotional theme running through many of her essays is her journey as a single mother, which has long been hidden in a hidden corner of her soul. The writer gives readers the feeling that her words are expressed very naturally, her emotions are overflowing and sometimes, even heartbreaking.

Reading Hien Thuc's writing, I remember a song she just released on May 13: The Day I Wrote My Name (My Dream) composed by Dinh Bao: "A mother's love for you will forever, holding your hand, I feel it more strongly guiding your steps. The future, my child, is vast, the sea and sky, vast, a mother's love for you will forever...".

Hien Thuc and her pet dog Bom - her special "best friend".

The book contains a gentle, feminine, delicate and sometimes humorous inner world - like the poem "Thuc Nu" (page 203) that Thuc wrote as an interesting way to define herself: "not smart but also sensible - not beautiful but also lovely - not too silly but not foolish - need someone to hold hands for a walk but also have many troubles".

Believe in fairy tales

The 8X generation singer writes from the most ordinary things and readers can see themselves somewhere in her stories. Like the story of "Cinderella" that Thuc tells about finding a last-minute plane ticket "to return to her mother" on a trip from faraway New York. Thuc still believes in fairies even though she is not sure if she is Cinderella or not. Having loved reading Doraemon comics since childhood, Hien Thuc believes in "whispering fairy tales" that transcend time or age and concludes: "Don't doubt that life is full of things that go as planned."

“I write to share emotions that sometimes cannot be expressed through singing. I seek out profound words as a silent refuge. I write for myself, for my daughter, for the things I have gone through and cannot name yet” - HIEN THUC shared.

On May 10, Hien Thuc's book reading, Bong bong oi, bay len, was held at a university library, in a poetically arranged space like a quiet forest, where music and literature blended together. "The book was well received by readers when the initial supply was not enough. A happy sign of continuing to read paper books! My heart was dancing because I felt happy and warm" - the singer happily said.

For readers, this small book, like a gift, will make you love life more through many levels from everyday life to fairy tales, from "great things to tiny things". Love and love passionately like Hien Thuc's confession: "A million years from now, will we see each other again? Life has many paths, but we still hold hands".
