Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli is highly appreciated by coach Maresca. |
The boy from Cobham Academy became the youngest player in Chelsea's history to start in the European Youth Cup. At just 15 years old, Jazuli has impressed experts and top scouts in Europe.
A SunSport source revealed: "He's the best in his age group and has a similar style of play to Jude Bellingham. He's very strong, intelligent and mature." His sharp passing, vision and goal-scoring instinct make him an all-round striker - the type of player every team would love to have.
Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli started his career as a defender, but was quickly promoted to central midfield, where he displayed a technical ability and tactical awareness rarely seen in a teenager.
Coach Enzo Maresca invited Jazuli to train with the first team before the match against Ajax to test his ability and integration. And his performance was so impressive that he calculated to give him his first team debut this season, even though he was not yet 16 years old.
Jazuli is also a member of the England U17 team, despite being only 15 years old – meaning he has played two years ahead of his senior level. Experts say this is clear evidence of the remarkable development of this young talent.
Arsenal made headlines when they gave Max Dowman his Premier League debut before his 16th birthday. However, sources at Chelsea are confident that Jazuli is even better, with far greater potential.
