Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises received the First Class Labor Medal

On May 11, the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (1995 - 2025) and receive the First Class Labor Medal.

This is a noble award, recognizing the Association's persistent, creative efforts and practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the Capital and the whole country.

Attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee member, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; representatives of leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches; representatives of business associations inside and outside the city, along with many members and outstanding businessmen.

Established in 1995, Hanoisme was born in the context of the country entering a period of innovation, integration and development.

From an organization with only a few dozen initial members, Hanoisme has now developed into one of the largest and most effective business associations in the country, representing more than 11,000 member businesses.

The Association currently has 28 clubs, branches, and 5 representative offices in countries such as the United States, Austria, Japan, the Czech Republic and Singapore.

Through its extensive network, the Association has connected, supported and created a dynamic and effective business ecosystem, contributing more than 40% of the capital's GRDP and 35% of its export turnover, while creating jobs for more than 5.5 million workers.

Not only playing the role of a bridge between enterprises and State management agencies, the Association also actively participates in policy criticism, proposing hundreds of important recommendations to improve the business environment, support business development, promote innovation, digital transformation and fulfill social responsibility.

At the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), assessed that 3 decades has been a challenging but also very proud journey. Hanoisme is not only a common home for small and medium enterprises but also a pioneer in connecting, supporting and promoting business innovation, enhancing competitiveness, helping businesses gradually reach out to regional and international markets.

During its development, the Association has implemented many practical activities such as policy consulting, organizing specialized training courses, connecting trade, providing financial and legal support, helping businesses adapt to market changes and develop sustainably.

These contributions have affirmed the important role of the Association in the business ecosystem, while creating a strong driving force for the socio-economic development of Hanoi and the whole country.

VCCI leaders also suggested that in the coming time, the Association should further promote its role as an organization representing entrepreneurs and enterprises, and be a solid bridge between enterprises and the government, helping VCCI listen, acknowledge and jointly resolve difficulties and obstacles of enterprises.

With the desire to rise up, the spirit of constant innovation, and the support of the Government and the city authorities, the capital's enterprises will become increasingly stronger, affirming their position and being pioneers in bringing Vietnamese brands to the world.

“The First Class Labor Medal awarded by the President today is a great honor and also a heavy responsibility for us. This is not only a recognition but also a strong motivation for the small and medium-sized enterprise community in the capital to continue to innovate, unite and pioneer in the new development path of the country” - Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of Hanoisme affirmed.

Hanoisme representatives also shared their willingness to accompany and implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development in the new situation. This is a resolution of historical significance, identifying the private economic sector as the “most important driving force” of the economy.

Hanoisme is committed to implementing three pillars: transparent governance; investment in innovation and green technology; value chain linkage to enhance national competitiveness.

Hanoisme aims to accompany the Government in realizing the goal of having 2 million enterprises by 2030, contributing 55-58% of GDP, and by 2045 having over 3 million enterprises, contributing over 60% of GDP.

Within the framework of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the Mac Dinh Chi Award - No. 1 brand to 30 typical units and enterprises.
