Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Tran Hai Linh - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the VKBIA Association, affirmed that after more than 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, cooperation between Vietnam and Korea has made remarkable progress in many fields. The two countries officially upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in December 2022, opening a new period of development for the relationship between the two countries.

On the other hand, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE in recent times have had positive and strong developments in many fields such as politics -diplomacy, economics-trade, investment, tourism, and energy.
Dr. Tran Hai Linh said that the UAE is currently Vietnam's largest trading partner in the Middle East-North Africa region. In April 2023, Vietnam and the UAE signed a ministerial statement on launching negotiations for the Vietnam-UAE Free Trade Agreement (CEPA).
In the field of investment, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, during a meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on June 14, said that Vietnam encourages UAE businesses and investment funds to invest and transfer technology in areas of mutual interest such as logistics, real estate, services, infrastructure, innovation, etc.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the UAE to share experiences and support Vietnam in building an international financial center, connecting innovation networks, energy conversion, environmental protection, natural resource management, etc.
Therefore, the signing ceremony will contribute to promoting cooperation in the field of investment between the UAE, Korea and Vietnam, promoting the development of global trade, and making a fundamental contribution to the economic growth of the three countries.
Mr. Rabelin Tchoumi, CEO of OWI Investment Fund, said that the Fund, based in Abu Dhabi (UAE), will provide long-term capital for investable projects globally.

Welcoming the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership agreement with the VKBIA Association, Mr. Rabelin Tchoumi affirmed that the common goals are to work with the VKBIA Association to identify investment opportunities across Korea and Vietnam in line with investment missions and develop together.
During the schedule in Korea, the delegation of OWI Investment Fund and VKBIA Association had and continued to have many working sessions with leading financial management companies and large and medium-sized corporations and enterprises in Korea to discuss, analyze and decide on a number of priority areas that will be focused on investment in Vietnam and Korea in the near future.
