Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway was started in June 2023, nearly 54km long, 4-6 lanes, with a total investment of 17,800 billion VND. Of which, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is the investor of the 19.5km long section 3; the Ministry of Transport is the investor of the 18.2km long section 2; Dong Nai province is the investor of the remaining 16km section.
After nearly 2 years of construction, the nearly 19.5km section through Phu My City and Ba Ria ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) has been more than 95% completed, and contractors are increasing capacity to technically open the road on April 30.
The starting point of the expressway section through Hac Dich ward, Phu My city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has been paved with asphalt and installed with a median strip. In the photo, the unfinished part is the project component 2 through Dong Nai province that has just been cleared and is under construction to fill the roadbed.
Nearly 19km of the route has been paved with asphalt, and many locations have had fences and guardrails installed.
In addition, drainage ditches and sewers are basically completed. People drive on the highway through Hac Dich ward, Phu My city, in early April.
The expressway overpass on Vo Van Kiet Street (Hac Dich Ward, Phu My City) is under construction, many foundations and access roads have been formed.
Dozens of workers are constructing the approach road and railing of the overpass.
There are 11 bridges under construction, of which 7 bridges are constructing piers, girder supports and pouring concrete for bridge decks, and 4 bridges are in the finishing stage.

At this time, contractors are focusing on 15 construction sites, rushing to complete the project 8 months ahead of schedule. Workers are constructing steel on the bridge deck to prepare for pouring concrete and asphalt pavement.
The intersection with Hoi Bai - Chau Pha road through Toc Tien commune has also taken shape. The two overpasses through this intersection have also completed the installation of girders and are constructing the bridge deck.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway interchange with National Highway 56 and Provincial Road 994 has also completed most of the main items. Of which, only a section of about 400m is being reinforced with cement concrete and about 500m is about to be paved with asphalt.
After completing the highway and connecting routes, a seamless route will be formed from Bien Hoa City to Vung Tau City, helping to shorten the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to the coastal city from 120 minutes to only 70 minutes.
