Coach Amorim: 'Man United should have won ASEAN All Stars'

On the evening of May 28, Man United had a friendly match with the ASEAN All Stars team. Despite being rated higher, they lost 0-1.

After the match, coach Ruben Amorim had an interview with the club's homepage right at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Malaysia). The reporter asked: "Even though this was just a friendly match, this result is still disappointing to you, right?"

The Portuguese tactician agreed, replying: "Yes! But the good thing is that we didn't have any injuries. The pitch was quite hard today. Everyone worked hard in training, no one was joking around.

We should win games like this. Everyone will need to bring that mindset to every game."

This is a match held in Malaysia, with temperatures and humidity quite high compared to England. However, Mr. Amorim does not think that is a problem.

"With these weather conditions, I'm still satisfied that no one is injured. But that's not a reason to blame for the defeat," the Man United captain commented.

He also shared another positive point in this match was that many young players were able to play. Coach Amorim promised to make improvements in the upcoming match in Hong Kong.

Bruno Fernandes: It was a great experience

Captain Bruno Fernandes, who was only brought on the field in the second half, also shared his thoughts right on the field.

Like his manager, he was disappointed to lose to the Southeast Asians. However, it was still a good experience for Man United.

The player born in 1994 said: "Obviously we didn't want to lose this match. But anyway it was an experience for us and the fans.

It's always great to go to other countries and have experiences with this club. It was quite hot and we had a bit of difficulty, but I don't think it made a difference in terms of results."

Bruno's future is currently a big question mark. There are reports that Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have sent the Portuguese player a very attractive offer. However, he must give an answer this week, otherwise the opportunity will pass.
