Coach Kim Sang-sik calls back the Vietnamese-American player discovered by Mr. Troussier

The list of U22 Vietnam announced this afternoon (March 6) includes two overseas Vietnamese players, Le Viktor and Nguyen An Khanh. Viktor has played more than 40 matches in the last 3 seasons in the V.League for Binh Dinh and Ha Tinh clubs. An Khanh plays for Trinec in the Czech Republic's third division. This player was called up to the U23 Vietnam team under coach Philippe Troussier in 2023.

Of the 27 players called up by coach Kim Sang-sik, 16 play for clubs in the V.League. Some players such as Tran Trung Kien (HAGL), Ho Van Cuong, Dinh Xuan Tien (SLNA)... play regularly and have a lot of experience playing internationally in youth tournaments.

Midfielder Andrej Nguyen An Khanh was called up to the Vietnam U23 team in 2023.

U22 Vietnam gathered from March 10, coinciding with the training session of the Vietnam national team. Coach Kim Sang-sik assigned assistant Dinh Hong Vinh to take charge of the U22 team to China for a friendly match. Members of the U22 Vietnam coaching staff also include Mr. Trinh Duy Quang, Tran Minh Quang, and Nguyen Tang Tuan.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his players will face U22 Korea, U22 Uzbekistan and U22 China. The tournament will take place from March 20 to March 25 in Jiangsu (China).
