HMD Launches First 5G Smartphone Made in Europe

The smartphone manufacturer behind the Nokia brand. Not a well-known brand in the smartphone market, but since 2016, HMD has taken advantage of the cheap labor source to compete in the market, by producing all smartphones under the famous brand in Asia.

Nokia XR21 Limited Edition

HMD Global has just made a breakthrough by launching a Nokia smartphone that supports 5G connectivity in Europe. HMD's first 5G smartphone manufactured in Europe is called Nokia XR21, and is currently only available to business customers. In addition to Nokia, the company also confirmed the launch of the HMD smartphone brand.

The Nokia XR21 was announced in May and features a durable design with MIL-STD-810H military standard and IP69K certification - the highest level of IP69K protection against water and dust.

The device comes in many different versions, including the limited Frosted Platinum version, which is limited to only 30 units, each priced at 700 euros (nearly 18 million VND) in the markets of the UK, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Finland.

XR21 is considered the successor to the XR20 model launched in 2021. The device has a large 6.49-inch, 120 Hz screen, the focus is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip, along with a dual 64 MP + 8 MP camera cluster on the back. The battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh, supporting 33W fast charging.

Another version is the Nokia XR21 European Edition in black, priced from 650 euros, available in the same market group plus Ireland.
