Appearing as a judge on a new television music competition, Ho Ngoc Ha shared about his career over the past 20 years and his passion for the current generation of young artists.
After many years of working, Ho Ngoc Ha is affectionately called by the audience with the title queen of entertainment. However, she said that from the moment she developed her music career, she did not choose to follow the path of becoming an entertainment queen.
“I want to become a versatile artist of my generation. I always try my best to improve myself, from my appearance to my performance, so that when I perform on stage, the audience will remember me,” said Ho Ngoc Ha.
With a voice that was not highly appreciated when he first started his career, Ho Ngoc Ha She understood that standing in one place and showing off her voice would not be as good as other singers, so she had to choose her own path.
"Perhaps that's why people call me the queen of entertainment. I hope when the audience remembers me, they remember the image of an artist who always invests carefully in her performance," she said.
Ho Ngoc Ha feels lucky that over the past 20 years she has had many opportunities to witness the growth of many young musical talents in music arenas.
She believes that for today's youth, if they want to become true musical talents, make their mark and make a breakthrough, they cannot rely solely on their singing voice, but must satisfy the tastes and expectations of the audience and, most importantly, have a development strategy. According to her, these are the three main factors that make a young artist successful.
“The way you create your products, choose your team, your strategy to create a different image to upgrade your talent, create an impression... are all criteria for me to judge. Shining for a moment is easy, but shining for a long journey is difficult. You have to be your own strategist,” said Ho Ngoc Ha.
Ho Ngoc Ha said that nowadays, artists only need a double click to push their music products onto many platforms and reach listeners quickly. "Life is so fast, so everything comes quickly and goes quickly. The most important thing is what you have to do to be able to survive in that whirlwind," she said.
Ho Ngoc Ha believes that in her time, artists struggled in the beginning, but when they made a name for themselves, they were lucky enough to be remembered by the audience for a long time.
Ho Ngoc Ha told the contestants to let the audience know that they are a new generation, even when singing old songs they must still be fresh, don't become copies of previous singers.
She believes that young singers must strive to perfect every aspect to become true artists, and should not cover up their shortcomings with image and media.
"First and foremost, you have to sing well. When you sing well, it doesn't matter what stage you're on or what era you're on. This is the criterion that accounts for 60-70% of the score, the rest can be improved over time," she said.
