Support concrete investment in rural roads

Walking on Ong Ba Dong concrete road (Nhon Tri 2 hamlet, Nhon Thanh Trung commune), many people expressed their joy. This is one of the projects under the Project, demonstrating the joint efforts and consensus of " The State and the People working together ".

At the end of 2024, when there was an investment policy from the People's Committee of Tan An City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc An actively coordinated with the locality to mobilize people to donate land to build roads.

Ms. An shared: “The project was put into use a few months ago. The road is about 400m long, 4m wide, with a total cost of more than 900 million VND. This is also a project to welcome the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.”

In Binh An B hamlet, Loi Binh Nhon commune, from 2024 to now, 3 projects have been completed and put into use, 1 project is being implemented. Leading us on one of the rural traffic roads in Binh An B hamlet which is clean, beautiful, with trees, lights and national flags , Party Cell Secretary, Head of Binh An B hamlet - Phan Van Hoa could not hide his joy.

Mr. Hoa said that this is a project under the Project, on this road there are 70 households living, each household contributed 3.1 million VND to build the road. Among them are households with difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people, Mr. Hoa mobilized benefactors to support their part of the money. His family alone not only paid but also donated about ^1,000m2 of rice fields to build the rural traffic road.

“All 4 projects are implemented under the motto "The State and the People work together". The total mobilization cost of the 4 projects is nearly 1 billion VND. When there was a policy, we organized a meeting with the people, discussed, recorded details, and were transparent in the collection and disbursement of contributions from the people and businesses. Thanks to that, the people trusted and supported. Moreover, previously, these roads were bluestone roads, now they are concrete, the people benefit, so although there were difficulties in the mobilization work at first, in the end everyone agreed" - Mr. Hoa said.

In recent times, the traffic infrastructure in the communes of Tan An City has been basically completed. Main roads, inter-hamlet traffic, and some intra-field roads have been deployed and invested in, contributing to the completion of traffic criteria.

The city also basically eliminated crushed stone and red gravel roads; solidified the road surface combined with sidewalk improvement, invested in trees, and public lighting systems.

However, the process of mobilizing resources from economic sectors and people is not diverse and creative, and is still limited in scope and implementation methods. The city's transport infrastructure in general has not fully met the capacity, expectations and development potential of the central urban area.

From there, the City People's Committee built the above Project. Party committees, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and organizations have actively participated, promoted propaganda work,... bringing positive results.

The city supports commercial concrete to implement the Pilot Project to Support Concrete Investment in Rural Traffic Routes in the City for the 2023-2025 Period

According to the Project, 5 communes in the city will carry out 21 projects. In general, the progress is according to the set plan. Accordingly, in the period of 2023-2024, 17 projects with a length of 7.6km have been completed, with a total cost of 16.6 billion VND.

From 2025, the remaining 4 projects will be implemented with a length of 4.4km, with a total cost of about 7.4 billion VND. These projects are concentrated in Loi Binh Nhon commune . Up to now, the commune has mobilized funds, donated land, crops, etc., striving to complete the projects by June 2025.

Chairman of Tan An City People's Committee - Vo Hong Thao said that the criteria on traffic routes have a great impact on the overall picture. Complete and convenient traffic infrastructure will contribute to creating favorable conditions for transporting goods, exchanging, communicating, expanding space to promote development in the direction.

The city has identified the gradual completion of infrastructure for hamlet roads, inter-hamlet roads, and main intra-field roads as a key task and a strategic issue in development. Therefore, when completed, the projects will create a new look for the countryside, contributing to improving the criteria for building advanced new rural communes and model new rural areas in the city./.
