In order for the elderly to live happily and healthily , in recent times , on holidays and Tet , all levels and sectors in the province have regularly organized visits and given gifts to elderly people in difficult circumstances, single-parent families, and families with preferential policies... Medical examination and treatment for the elderly has been brought to the commune, ward, and town levels, creating conditions for them to access
medical services, giving priority to medical examination and treatment. In 2023, 6,845 elderly people received regular health check-ups and monitoring, and more than 2,000 elderly people received eye exams and lens replacements. There are 54 provincial-level cultural relics and 22 national-level cultural relics in the province. Currently, elderly people are exempted from paying fees when visiting some locations that charge fees. Elderly art, physical education and sports clubs are maintained and operated well. Health care, poetry and art clubs... bring practical effects in health care, self-help activities, and community support. The Department of Transport guides passenger transport units to declare exemptions and 15% reductions in ticket prices for the elderly when participating in traffic. Ms. Dang Thi Tri (74 years old) in La Hai town, Dong Xuan district said: "It's been a long time since I had the opportunity to travel far, the State supported me with transportation, and I was able to participate in activities for the elderly, so I find life really meaningful. Now, I hope to live a healthy life, a life that is useful to society."

business has contributed to increasing income, improving the lives of elderly members, reducing the rate of poor households, increasing the number of well-off households among the elderly, contributing to solving jobs for thousands of local workers, together with the locality to successfully complete the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, enhancing the role and position of the elderly in the family and society. The whole province currently has over 27,600 elderly people participating in economic activities. In recent years, many examples of elderly members doing good business have helped and supported members in difficult circumstances, members from poor households, near-poor households to have the motivation to rise up. Each locality has had many typical examples, achieving the title of excellent elderly production, including 502 elderly people who are owners of farms, production and business establishments, and owners of individual business households in the locality. Mr. Vo Van Ngu (80 years old) in Phuoc Hau quarter, Xuan Dai ward, Song Cau town is a role model for his family. Thanks to knowing how to exploit the potential and available advantages, he invested capital in raising lobsters. At first, he encountered many difficulties due to the lack of seed sources for many years, slow consumption of commercial shrimp, unstable prices... But with the determination to get rich, in order not to depend on the support of the State, he boldly borrowed money from the bank to buy a motorboat to catch fish to feed the shrimp, both saving costs and having fresh food. Thanks to that, the shrimp grow quickly, selling within only 16-18 months. Every year, his family earns several hundred million VND, creating regular jobs for 5 workers, with an average income of 6-8 million VND/person/month. Or Mr. Le The Trung (73 years old) in quarter 6, Phu Dong ward, Tuy Hoa city, previously worked as a trawler and gillnet fisherman in the open sea, a low income source. When the Party and State introduced a policy of innovation to expand offshore fishing grounds, in 2001, he invested in building a new fishing boat 15m long, with a 520CV engine, fully equipped with necessary equipment to ensure long-term exploitation and fishing of ocean tuna. Since then, this fishing boat has operated 7-8 trips each year, each trip earning 300-500 million VND, workers earning 8-10 million VND/person. According to Mr. Le Du, through the movement of the elderly in good production and business, the province has many typical and advanced models who are shining examples of the spirit of perseverance in overcoming difficulties, not accepting poverty, determined to enrich themselves and help others to become rich. The whole province currently has 93,763 elderly members, accounting for more than 84% of the elderly. In the coming time, the Association at all levels will continue to gather and unite the elderly to respond to and participate in the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example", "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh" with specific and practical actions, offering ideas and contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks suitable to the conditions and capabilities of the elderly. At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilization to raise the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society for caring for, supporting and helping the elderly; create conditions for the elderly to fully access basic social services such as: Health care, health care, culture, sports, mass arts; pay attention to and fully implement preferential policies to improve the lives of the elderly.
