On May 12, the General Department of Customs issued a decision to extend the application of the priority enterprise regime for Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation for 3 years from the date of signing. Thus, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation continues to be one of 75 priority enterprises nationwide when meeting many conditions: enterprises achieving import-export turnover of 100 million USD/year or more; enterprises achieving export turnover of goods manufactured in Vietnam of 40 million USD/year or more... In addition, the enterprise also meets other conditions such as: compliance with customs and tax laws; internal control system; good compliance with accounting and auditing laws.
Also in May, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation was one of eight enterprises participating in the program "Piloting support and encouragement for enterprises to participate in import and export activities in Da Nang" phase 1 thanks to meeting the following conditions: having import and export activities in the city; large number of customs declarations or import and export turnover; large amount of import and export tax payment.
Ms. Tran Tuong Anh, Deputy General Director of Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation, said that participating in the program of the Da Nang Customs Department and continuing to be granted priority status by the General Department of Customs from 2018 to present helps businesses shorten the time for customs clearance of goods, thereby reducing costs on administrative procedures, reducing personnel costs, reducing costs of exemption from checking documents, goods and reducing other costs (storing containers, scanning containers at the port).
The above incentives significantly contribute to promoting the production and business activities of the enterprise, creating prestige with customers, thereby, the enterprise's after-tax profit in the first quarter of 2024 reached 44.5 billion VND, an increase of more than 46% over the same period last year, completing 25% of the profit target for 2024.
Also in mid-May, Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC) signed a contract with Oceanside One Trading Company, a tire company in Brazil. Through this contract, the two parties aim to increase export output to the US and Brazil markets from 70 million USD to 150 million USD/year.
Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, General Director of DRC, said that the Brazilian market will help DRC increase the operating capacity of the PCR tire factory to 75-84% this year and reach 100% next year. For the US market, DRC is the largest exporter of TBR tires (radial truck and bus tires) from Vietnam to the market. With the promotion of exports in the coming time, quick customs clearance of goods is extremely important. In the past time, the customs agency has always proactively supported the settlement of flexible administrative procedures, helping businesses clear goods and materials on schedule.
