Recently, in the South Central region, there has been a historic flood, causing very heavy damage to people, houses, properties, infrastructure, greatly affecting people's lives and state infrastructure works, especially in the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong. After the flood, thousands of houses were severely damaged, hundreds of households lost their homes due to collapse, collapse, and drift, requiring a lot of resources to repair and rebuild; many schools, medical stations, and hospitals have not been able to resume operations.
In order to quickly repair and rebuild houses for households with severely damaged, collapsed, or washed away houses, ensuring stable housing for people before the Lunar New Year 2026, implementing Official Dispatch No. 232/CD-TTg dated November 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister on urgently collecting statistics, reviewing, and synthesizing reports on damage to people's housing due to floods in the South Central region, the Ministry of National Defense requests agencies and units to strictly maintain the on-duty regime and thoroughly implement Official Dispatch No. 7527/CD-BQP dated November 23, 2025 of the Ministry of National Defense on concentrating all resources to overcome consequences, restore production and business, and stabilize people's lives after floods in the South Central region.
The General Staff directed agencies and units to mobilize maximum forces and means, resolutely deploy measures to quickly overcome the consequences of heavy rain, floods, landslides; repair and rebuild houses for households whose houses were severely damaged, collapsed, toppled, or washed away, with a spirit of urgency, speed, determination, and efficiency to ensure stable housing for the people. The General Department of Logistics and Technology directed units to synthesize and report to the Ministry on the damage caused by storms and floods to the units; organize to overcome and ensure a good life for officers and soldiers.
The Ministry of National Defense assigned Military Region 5 and Military Region 7 to direct the Military Commands of the provinces, advise local Party committees and authorities to direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to promptly count the number of collapsed, fallen, or washed away houses that need to be rebuilt; the number of households with severely damaged houses that need to be repaired; mobilize forces and means to coordinate with units stationed in the area and other forces to organize the construction and repair of houses for people, ensuring stability before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Units stationed in the area are ready to mobilize the highest forces and means to participate in rebuilding and repairing houses for people affected by floods, landslides, and landslides at the request of the locality and in coordination with the Military Commands of the provinces; daily report the implementation results to the Ministry of National Defense through the Ministry's Command and the Department of Rescue and Relief (General Staff) for synthesis and reporting to the Government.
