From the day the construction of Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh's house (Street 6, Thinh Vuong Town, Gia Vien) started in early April 2025 to May 2025, Mr. Ninh Ngoc Hoi, Ms. Oanh's brother-in-law, temporarily stopped working at the construction group to be present at the construction site every day to support the construction of a new house for his sister-in-law.
Mr. Hoi shared: Ms. Oanh is a household with difficult housing circumstances and is a single woman, so when the State supported her with 80 million VND to rebuild, her relatives told each other to lend a hand. Like my family, although we did not have the conditions to help financially, I am a construction worker so I spent time helping her with the construction from the start until the completion. Whenever the work was finished, I returned to the construction team. Each day, a construction worker like me earns 400,000 VND, but the State has supported a large sum of money to build a house, so why can't we, as family members, help each other with the working days? Even though I have not had any income for over a month, I am still happy because I have joined hands to help my wife have a more spacious home.
Also busy with her new house as a construction worker, Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh said: Along with the support of 80 million VND from the province's policy, Thinh Vuong town also supported me with 10 million VND and relatives helped, so my house was built with a budget of about 150 million VND. The new house is the motivation for me to strive to develop the economy , to feel secure in my old age. Thinking back to the past, every rainy season, I often had to stay at my relatives' house in Gia Hoa commune. Now that I have a new, solid house, I no longer have to worry about anything...
Comrade Nguyen Huy Thien, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thinh Vuong town, said: 9 houses supported with funding for new construction and repair according to the province's policy in Thinh Vuong town are all being implemented on schedule and will be completed by early June 2025.
To achieve this result, along with the efforts of the families, the activities to support and help households build houses have received attention from the local Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front. Each house received 30-40 working days of help from union members, association members, and residents in residential areas. The spirit of "Whoever has something to help" has been promoted more effectively than ever.
The town has allocated from the Gratitude and Social Security Fund to support 10 million VND/household for new construction and 5 million VND/household for repair. In addition, the town has stepped up propaganda and mobilized businesses and children from the hometown to support funding to build 2 more houses and repair 1 house in addition to the households on the list approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
As a locality with a large number of houses supported for new construction and repair under the province's temporary and dilapidated house elimination program, Khanh Cong commune (Yen Khanh) has 26 houses supported under the province's policy and 2 houses supported by local resources.
Comrade Doan Ngoc Trang, Vice Chairman of Khanh Cong Commune People's Committee, said: In order for 28 households to build new houses and repair houses, the commune has advocated and mobilized resources to support the households. The locality has connected with businesses and individuals: Hanoi Air Force Helicopter Regiment, Khanh Cong Tunnel Brick Factory, Ninh Binh Friendship Volunteer Club, Bao Viet Ninh Binh Company... and many kind-hearted people inside and outside the commune such as Ms. Tran Thi Bich Diu, Mr. Pham Van Hai, Mr. Do Ngoc Kinh to support the cost of building and repairing houses.
In addition, the Front Working Committee and organizations in villages and hamlets have focused on helping with workdays to dismantle construction works, clear land, and transport materials to help families, with each family spending about 4-5 workdays.
Thanks to the effective mobilization of resources, the construction progress of houses in Khanh Cong was completed quickly. In early June 2025, the commune will complete the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
Receiving help from many hearts during the process of repairing his house, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh in Hamlet 9 (Khanh Cong Commune) said: As a household in particularly difficult circumstances, my family has received support from many hearts to have funds to repair the house. The funds to repair my family's house have been supported by the Ninh Binh Friendship Volunteer Club calling for and connecting to support 20 million VND; Bao Viet Ninh Binh Company supported 10 million VND; Khanh Cong Tunnel Brick Factory supported 10 million VND; Mr. Pham Van Hai's family (Hamlet 4, Khanh Cong Commune) supported 5 million VND; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh's family (Hamlet 9, Khanh Cong Commune) supported 10 million VND along with the labor days of the Front Committee and the people of Hamlet 9. I am truly touched by the affection, care and sharing of all hearts...
Attending the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh's new house, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh's family (Hamlet 9) donated 10 million VND and shared: There is a proverb that says "neighbors help each other in times of need" to talk about the neighborly affection when in trouble or hardship, they always accompany and help each other. Because of that thought, when we learned about Mr. Vinh's family's situation, my family did not think much but decided to donate money to help Mr. Vinh repair his house.
Up to now, the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province has mobilized the combined strength and many social resources. Along with the funding from the province's policies, the legally mobilized capital from the support and assistance of businesses, organizations and individuals is over 11,600 million VND, more than 5,000 working days have been mobilized to implement housing support in the province.
This has contributed to speeding up the progress of house construction and repair in localities. As of May 24, 100% of households supported under Decision 170 had started construction, 66.44% of houses had been completed; for 105 households supported under Decision 96, 64.76% had started construction, 42.86% had been completed... The spirit of "Whoever has something to help" in the program has been effectively promoted, spreading the tradition of "mutual love" of the nation.
