A coffee shop in Hanoi's Old Quarter has always been crowded with customers, sometimes even having to queue up, since launching the "independence - freedom - happiness" drink combo.

The reason this coffee shop attracts young people is because of its Vietnamese-style space with red flags with yellow stars, moss-covered ancient walls, and decorations reminiscent of the day of national reunification.

Trinh Ha Trang, manager of a coffee shop on Hang Ma Street (Hoan Kiem District), shared that to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, the shop has launched three drinks named "independence - freedom - happiness".

"For us young people, peace is a beautiful, sacred and precious thing. Thanks to our ancestors, we can go to school and do what we like.

So on the occasion of the national holiday, we also wanted to do something meaningful and came up with the idea of a drink decorated with the red flag and yellow star," Trang shared.

The decoration will make the preparation time longer, but customers coming to the shop are excited to receive a drink shaped like the national flag.

According to Ms. Trang, since these drinks were widely shared on social networks, the number of customers has increased, especially on weekends.

After the tour of checking in and taking photos to celebrate the reunification day at locations in Hanoi, Le Thu Phuong (Gia Lam, Hanoi) and her friends checked in at this coffee shop.

According to Thu Phuong, the space inside the restaurant makes diners clearly feel the national spirit with banners and posters neatly hung on the walls.

Most special is the large flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam hanging right at the small path leading to the restaurant. The flag reminds us of the historic moment of the nation exactly 50 years ago.

This space not only evokes heroic memories, but also helps the younger generation better understand an important period of the nation.

As for Thanh Thuy (Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi), what impressed her most about the shop was the rustic, nostalgic space. Especially the map of Vietnam with the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos and the message "Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam".

"I think the idea of using the flag image to decorate a glass of water is a very interesting marketing method. Young people, especially Gen Z, are always interested in national culture and love the red flag with a yellow star," Thanh Thuy shared.

In Hanoi, many other cafes also attract tourists with cakes and drinks bearing the national flag. This creativity is positively received by tourists.
