Sunflowers bloom in vibrant yellow along the Saigon River.

The sunflower field in Saigon Riverfront Park (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) is in full bloom with vibrant yellow, attracting many people to visit and take photos. On weekends, many families and young people come here to admire the beauty of thousands of sunflowers.

On the morning of February 16th, Ms. Do Thi Kieu Nga (52 years old, residing in Binh Dinh province) took the opportunity to take commemorative photos with friends in a sunflower field, during a class reunion in Ho Chi Minh City. According to Ms. Nga, in the heart of a modern city, a large park along the river with a vibrant flower field is a suitable place for people to relax and reconnect with nature after stressful working hours.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Van Kien, chairman of Thu Thiem ward, said that since the Lunar New Year, sunflowers have been in full bloom, forming a field of flowers that attracts locals and tourists to visit and take photos every afternoon and on weekends.

"The Thu Duc riverside park with its sunflower fields has created a space for people to relax, thereby promoting local tourism and socio -economic development," Mr. Kien said. He added that the ward has coordinated with relevant units to inspect and remind people to maintain order and prevent picking or breaking of flowers.

Not only on weekends, but also on weekday afternoons, many people come to visit and take photos with the sunflower field in the riverside park.

The Saigon riverside park, stretching from Ba Son Bridge to the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc), was inaugurated at the end of 2023. The park features various amenities such as a sunflower field, a community activity area, and a multi-purpose community activity space.

The Saigon riverside park on the Thu Thiem bank covers approximately 20 hectares and is about 600 meters long, with a total investment of about 90 billion VND, funded through social mobilization.

Over time, the park has become a familiar destination for city residents. Inside the park, in addition to green spaces, walking areas, playgrounds, and sports facilities, amenities such as cafes and a boat dock are also gradually being completed, attracting many people to come and enjoy themselves.

According to the Thu Duc Technical Infrastructure Development Center, there are currently about 5,000 visitors per day coming to the riverside park for recreation and check-in, with even more on weekends.
