Ba Dinh Square expansion project completed ahead of schedule

The project "Investment in construction of infrastructure to serve the reception and propaganda work of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board" has completed all items, ensuring quality and meeting progress.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Deputy Minister of National Defense - this morning inspected and worked with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command on the progress of the project "Investing in building infrastructure to serve the reception and propaganda work of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board".

According to the decision approved by the Minister of National Defense, the project's goal is to complete the grass plots south of the square to ensure the architectural landscape of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ba Dinh Square; enhance the architectural aesthetics and solemnity of the Mausoleum; contribute to providing thoughtful and safe service to the people and international visitors.

The project was implemented from June 9, including the following items: demolishing 4 villas in the area south of Ba Dinh Square; expanding 4 rows of grass plots to the south of the square's lawn; building security fences on Doc Lap Street and Chua Mot Cot Street; building and supplementing information, radio and television systems in the area south of the square.

In addition, the project will build and supplement an automatic sprinkler system, manual irrigation and drainage system for the expanded grass plot area, the area adjacent to the existing grass plots; install a lighting system for the road, lawn, sidewalk, and chandelier poles; pour concrete and treat the surface of the expanded Hung Vuong road, make a raised gravel sidewalk and walking path.

Up to now, after 52 days of implementation, the items have been completed ahead of schedule, targets and requirements.

In the coming time, the unit will focus on completing the project's documents; continue to monitor and maintain the project, take care of the lawn to ensure the tasks of the parade, the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; carry out payment and final settlement of the project completion.

Concluding the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the agencies and units for their promptness, determination and determination in basically completing the project with 7 items. He also requested the agencies and units to continue to supplement and complete the details of the items; continue to care for and maintain the lawns and beautify the surrounding landscapes.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also requested the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command to establish a regular system, strengthen absolute security for the project; organize acceptance, completion, settlement, and report to the Ministry of National Defense according to regulations; carry out well the emulation and reward work, and motivate officers, employees, and workers directly performing their tasks.
