According to the Department of Construction, in June, the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Ministry of Construction to appraise the dossiers on adjusting the master plans of the urban areas of Bien Hoa, Trang Bom, and Nhon Trach. At the meeting, the Ministry of Construction noted that the projects should consider the content of changing and rearranging administrative units from cities and districts to wards and communes, which will affect the urban structure.
Along with that, it is necessary to consider the content of non-administrative boundary access in urban areas. The Ministry of Construction also agreed to continue to submit for approval the master plan adjustment projects of 3 urban areas according to the planning tasks approved by the Prime Minister before July 1, 2025. In which, it is noted to calculate the above contents.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that according to the original plan, the projects to adjust the general planning of the three urban areas must be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval in December 2024, but the implementation progress is slow.
Therefore, localities must complete the dossiers of the master plan adjustment projects of the three cities and send them to the Department of Construction for submission to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal before submitting them to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval before June 30.
In particular, for the dossier adjusting the general planning of the new urban area of Nhon Trach, it is necessary to consider the division of land use functions according to appropriate development stages, fully update projects, forecast population size, and plan land use space when there are bridges connecting to Ho Chi Minh City.
For the dossier of local adjustment of Long Khanh city's master plan, departments and branches will provide comments before June 14. Long Khanh city will urgently complete it to submit to the Department of Construction for appraisal. At the same time, departments and branches will also provide comments on Long Khanh city's zoning plans so that the locality can complete and submit them for approval.
