On February 18 (January 9, Giap Thin year), at Kinh Thien Palace, part of the Thang Long - Hanoi Imperial Citadel Heritage Site, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center coordinated with the Thang Long - Hanoi Cultural Heritage Association to organize an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the ancestors and talented people who have contributed to the country. The incense offering ceremony was solemnly held with many traditional rituals. The highlight was the dragon dance, recreating the image of the dragon and fairy descendants of Vietnam; at the same time, expressing the wish for favorable weather, prosperity, national peace and prosperity, upholding the martial spirit and the nation's tradition of remembering the source of water. Next was the performance of the Thang Long Festival Drum by artisans from Ha Yen Quyet village, demonstrating the heroic spirit of Thang Long - Hanoi, a thousand years of civilization.

Next, the procession offering offerings to the ancestors who have contributed to the country gathered at the square in front of Doan Mon and solemnly entered Kinh Thien Palace to perform the ceremony in the solemn atmosphere of the first days of the new spring. The procession, incense offering, sacrifices and many folk cultural activities had the participation of many traditional cultural units in the capital such as: the dragon dance team of Trieu Khuc village (Tan Trieu commune, Thanh Tri district); the drum team of Ha Yen Quyet communal house (Yen Hoa ward, Cau Giay district); the incense offering team of Dinh women, So Thuong Temple (Yen So - Hoang Mai)... Also on this occasion, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site also arranged many spring flower spaces, miniature landscapes... to serve visitors.

The spring incense offering ceremony is an annual ritual held with the meaning of paying homage to ancestors, expressing gratitude to the merits of the previous emperors, wise kings, and talented people who have contributed to the country, while honoring the traditional values ​​of Thang Long-Hanoi. This year, Thang Long Imperial Citadel welcomed a large number of visitors. From the 2nd day of Tet until now, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel heritage site has welcomed more than 70,000 visitors to visit and experience. Thereby, the beauty of royal culture and Thang Long culture is spread more and more strongly to the community./.
