The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Foreign Investment Agency.

On the morning of November 8, Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the delegation of the Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Finance) led by Mr. Vu Van Chung, Deputy Director, on the coordination of a number of policies to promote investment abroad. Also attending was Mr. Vu Van Dien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

With its strategic location, modern infrastructure, open investment environment and sustainable development orientation, in recent years, Quang Ninh has affirmed its role as one of the leading localities in attracting foreign investment, a reliable destination for many international investors.

Currently, the province has more than 200 FDI projects of investors from 20 countries and territories around the world carrying out production and business activities with a total registered investment capital of nearly 17 billion USD. The investment sectors and fields have closely followed the development orientation of the province, focusing on high-tech sectors, renewable energy, logistics services, high-quality tourism and semiconductors for sustainable development. The province also focuses on processing and manufacturing industries, digital transformation, innovation, marine economy and sustainable development associated with environmental protection; orienting the in-depth development of economic zones and industrial parks to increase national and international competitiveness.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, briefly introduced the province's socio-economic development results in the recent period and the province's outstanding advantages in attracting investment. To accompany investors, the province promotes decentralization, delegation of power, promoting the role and responsibility of leaders; repositioning local values, fully identifying advantages, challenges, conflicts, and bottlenecks to find solutions. Quang Ninh also proactively completes the legal framework and policies; develops infrastructure and green industrial ecosystem; improves the quality of human resources; improves the investment environment. Each group of solutions is carefully researched to remove barriers and bottlenecks, turning challenges into opportunities...

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province still has a lot of room for development and investment. With clear orientations, the province continues to promote investment attraction in priority areas. He requested the Foreign Investment Agency to continue to be a bridge, supporting Quang Ninh to promote the potential, advantages, and development opportunities of investors when they come to the province; share experiences in some countries in attracting investment; provide information and assess investors' capacity so that the province can use it as a basis for evaluating and implementing cooperation and development policies.

Assessing the investment environment in Quang Ninh, the delegation of the Foreign Investment Agency affirmed: Quang Ninh province has created a favorable investment and business environment, prioritizing resources to accelerate the development of strategic infrastructure such as: Transportation, technology, seaport services, synchronous and modern economic zone infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and comprehensiveness. Quang Ninh has many good and effective ways in promoting and attracting investment, forming a production chain system; regularly meeting and accompanying to solve difficulties for businesses..., this has brought confidence, peace of mind to stay and expand production in the province.

Comrade Vu Van Chung, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Agency, suggested that Quang Ninh Province should further strengthen the exchange of information, especially the investment attraction portfolio, to quickly grasp opportunities and challenges, share supply chain shifting trends, as well as the needs and desires of investors to easily connect and attract investors to the province. This is an important condition to welcome more and more high-quality investment capital flows with high spillover effects, in line with the orientation of green, sustainable and innovative development.

Immediately after the working session, the delegation conducted a field survey on investment attraction at Song Khoai Industrial Park, Hiep Hoa ward.
