Hanoi students win 7 medals at World Math Olympiad

The five gold medals went to the following students: Tran The Phuc, class 7A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School; Nguyen Thai Duong, class 7A6, Giang Vo Secondary School; Nguyen Tuan Minh, class 7A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School; Luong Minh Nam and Le Thanh Hai, class 7A6, Giang Vo Secondary School.

Hanoi students won 7 medals at PMW 2023

Two silver medals went to students: Nguyen Duc Thuan, class 7A2, Giang Vo Secondary School and Phan Nguyen Mai Trang, class 8A5, Thang Long Secondary School.

The PMW (Pangea Math World) International Mathematical Olympiad is organized by the non-profit association Pangea Wettbewerb eV (Frankfurt/M) Germany (Germany) with the aim of supporting students' interest in Mathematics, creating conditions for developing thinking towards solving complex tasks in the future.

This exam has been held in Germany since 2007 for students from European countries, attracting more than 3 million candidates from 22 countries.

Starting from 2022, the exam will be expanded to all countries in the world in the form of online exams and this is also the first year Vietnam participates.
