After the Chinese national team failed in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Asia, the media spread rumors that coach Shin Tae-yong - the former coach of the Indonesian national team, was said to be in the sights of the Chinese Football Association (CFA). Currently Vice President of the Korea Football Association, Shin Tae-yong confirmed that he has not received any official offer from China.
