On the afternoon of November 14, at Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Hai Chau District), the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City coordinated with VietnamEducation Publishing House and Da Nang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to organize the program "Following you to school".
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City, said that in recent times, the city government has had many humane programs and policies in the field of education. Specifically, Da Nang City is the leading locality in exempting tuition fees for students since the Covid-19 epidemic. This is to reduce difficulties for parents affected by the epidemic, so the people of Da Nang City are very happy.
Mr. Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City, spoke at the scholarship awarding program.
"In the past time, the Department of Education and Training has acted as a bridge between units to award many scholarships and humanitarian programs to support and encourage students in difficult circumstances in the city," Mr. Linh informed.
According to Mr. Linh, this time the Department of Education and Training is very happy to continue to accompany the Vietnam Education Publishing House and Da Nang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company in implementing the program "Giving scholarships to students who overcome difficulties and study well in the 2023-2024 school year". Previously, the Department of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Publishing House also successfully organized the program "Shared Textbook Cabinets" at schools in the area.
The Organizing Committee also awarded 80 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND) to students of all levels with difficult circumstances in Da Nang City.
Representatives of Vietnam Education Publishing House and Da Nang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company awarded scholarships to disadvantaged students in Da Nang City.
