Coming to Hamlet 4, Ward 5, Soc Trang city, we had the opportunity to visit the model of growing and trading small crops of member Trieu Thi Nuong to see the meaning of the specific work that the Women's Union of Soc Trang city has created conditions and supported Ms. Nuong's family in economic development. Before having the current effective model of growing and trading small crops, Ms. Nuong also encountered difficulties in capital. With the determination to find a new model to improve the family economy, with the support of the Women's Union, Ms. Nuong joined a revolving capital group without interest and borrowed 50 million VND from the Social Policy Bank to do small business and grow crops. With this model, the family earns an income of 300,000 - 500,000 VND/day.
Or Ms. Son Thi Oren in Hamlet 6, Ward 7, Soc Trang City is also one of the members who overcame difficulties to develop a stable economy from the model of farming, growing coriander combined with selling coffee at home, helping her family have a much better income than before. Ms. Oren shared: "With the attention of the local government, especially the Women's Union, creating conditions for my family to borrow preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank, I have more capital to invest in an automatic watering system for the coriander garden and part of the money is used to buy rice fertilizer as well as to manage the family."
