On the afternoon of May 7, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a joint conference to agree on the expected content of the regular mid-year session of 2024, the 15th Provincial People's Council.
Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference.
Also attending were comrades: Tong Quang Thin, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Van Kien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Committees, Delegation Groups of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and units.
It is expected that the mid-2024 regular session of the 15th Provincial People's Council will take place over 3 days (from July 5 to 10, 2024).
At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will consider 22 reports of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Committee and 1 announcement of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The Provincial People's Council will also consider 16 draft resolutions and 1 group of important draft resolutions.
Notably, there are a number of draft Resolutions on: the monitoring program of the Provincial People's Council in 2025; on the approval of the land price adjustment coefficient in 2024 in the province; the decentralization of authority to decide on the purchase of assets for science and technology tasks; on the purchase of goods and services using science and technology funding sources under the province's management; on planning and adjusting the zoning plan for construction of a number of industrial parks; on support policies for collectives and individuals who perform well in population work; on naming public works of the Provincial Central Cultural House; support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and cadres, civil servants at the commune level, non-professional workers at the commune level, in villages and residential groups who are redundant due to the arrangement of administrative units at the district and commune levels in the province...
The session will also conduct questions and answers, and conduct personnel work within its authority.
Discussing at the conference, delegates expressed high consensus with the expected time and content of the mid-year 2024 session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.
Delegates also discussed and clarified a number of issues related to the legal basis, practical basis, guaranteed resources, and implementation time for the reports and draft resolutions presented at the session.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates. He requested the agencies and units to promptly complete the reports and submissions and send them to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council as prescribed. Noting the importance of the draft resolutions and the legal basis, he requested the agencies and units to focus highly on advising on the drafting, ensuring that they are suitable for practice and highly feasible.
With the motto of continuing to innovate the question and answer session, he requested that the delegates of the Provincial People's Council and the Committees of the Provincial People's Council soon propose groups of content, question duration, and subjects of question and answer.
He also requested that the Provincial People's Council Delegation Groups coordinate with relevant agencies to organize meetings with voters; synthesize voters' opinions and recommendations and send them to the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee immediately after completing the meetings with voters to forward to relevant agencies and synthesize reports at the meeting.
