Conference on dissemination of regulations on greenhouse gas emission reduction

On the morning of November 22, in Ha Long City, the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ninh presided over and coordinated with Vinacontrol Group Joint Stock Company and Hon Gai Coal Company - TKV to organize a conference to disseminate regulations on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting the ozone layer and inventorying greenhouse gases in Quang Ninh province.

The leader of the Department of Industry and Trade delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Attending the conference were 120 delegates who were leaders and officials representing 55 units monitoring, managing and implementing greenhouse gas inventories in the province according to Decision No. 13/2024/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister promulgating the fields and facilities emitting greenhouse gases that must conduct greenhouse gas inventories in the province.

Experts disseminate and answer questions for delegates about greenhouse gas emission reduction at the conference.

At the conference, delegates listened to experts and representatives of the Department of Industrial Management (Department of Industry and Trade) disseminate and answer questions about: legal regulations, responsibilities of state management agencies and enterprises; basic concepts that need to be clarified in greenhouse gas inventory; related standard ISO 14064 - calculation and quantification of greenhouse gases; introduction to concepts, inventory methods, inventory tools, basic formulas, inventory steps... of greenhouse gases; greenhouse gas inventory report according to the form of Decree 06/2022/ND-CP; some practical experiences and measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for facilities...

Delegates learn about greenhouse gas emission reduction documents at the conference.

Through the conference, it contributes to propagating, disseminating and raising awareness of enterprises operating in the energy and industrial sectors under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on legal regulations on greenhouse gas emission reduction and ozone layer protection; at the same time, helping to remove difficulties for enterprises in Quang Ninh province in greenhouse gas inventory, in order to carry out environmental protection and respond to climate change.
