First, summarizing the program "May Blood Pressure Measurement Month" (MMM) - a campaign launched by the Vietnam Hypertension Association since 2017, in coordination with the Department of Health , pharmacies and pharmacists nationwide.
After 5 years, MMM has become the largest community blood pressure measurement activity in Vietnam, providing important data in planning prevention and treatment policies.
Second, publish the "5TRACK Expert Consensus" Guidelines - the latest document of the Vietnam Hypertension Association, built in a patient-centered direction, including 5 methods corresponding to the letters TRACK, shaping the optimal management model according to modern practice.
Emphasizing the trend of digitalizing medicine
A major highlight of this year’s conference is the role of technology in screening and treating hypertension. Reports focus on: Application of AI and big data in screening and risk prediction; Individualized treatment models based on digital algorithms; Remote blood pressure monitoring and wearable devices to support patient management.
Notably, the digitalization trend is expected to dramatically change clinical practice in the coming period.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Binh - Deputy Director of Cho Ray Hospital spoke at the conference.
In addition, the conference also updated the international recommendations for 2025; introduced new points in the 2025 hypertension treatment guidelines of the World Society of Hypertension (ISH), HOPE Asia Network, European Society of Cardiology (ESC/ESH), American Heart Association (ACC/AHA)...
These recommendations help domestic doctors access advanced treatment practices around the world.
The conference also selected many valuable works to be published in the National Journal of Cardiology - special issue Hypertension 2025. The Organizing Committee also awarded 5 young science awards to encourage doctors and medical students to continue contributing to research in the field of cardiovascular - metabolism.
The 7th Vietnam Hypertension Conference is considered an important milestone, not only providing a comprehensive picture of the current situation of hypertension in the country but also opening up modern, multilateral and digital treatment trends - aiming to reduce the burden of disease and improve the quality of cardiovascular care for Vietnamese people.

Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang - Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training shared at the conference about the shortcomings in training resident doctors.
Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang emphasized that although the residency training program has a long history, the diploma has not yet been included in the national diploma system, causing disadvantages for both students and the medical industry.
He hopes that professors and leading experts in the field of cardiovascular medicine will "speak out together", contributing to promoting policies and creating a more favorable training environment for the young generation of doctors - those who will bear the responsibility of taking care of people's health in the future.
"The leading teachers in the field of cardiology present at the conference are prestigious experts not only in the medical field but also in society. Therefore, we hope that you will speak up together on this issue. So that the young generation of doctors can have favorable conditions to train, have the conditions to become the elite in the medical field, and together make efforts to fulfill the mission of taking care of people's health..." - Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang shared.
