The 2nd Conference of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIII

On the morning of December 12, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) held the 2nd conference, term VIII, to evaluate the results of the Front's work in 2024 and the program of coordination and unified action in 2025.

In 2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will do a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively participate in activities to celebrate the country's major holidays; coordinate propaganda and organize activities well on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, take care of Tet for the poor; coordinate with the authorities and member organizations at the same level to propagate and mobilize people in the two districts: Thach An and Quang Hoa to hand over the site on schedule for investors to carry out construction according to the plan of the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh ( Cao Bang ) Expressway Investment Project; allocate and support funds to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses, "Great Solidarity" houses for households; effectively carry out patriotic emulation campaigns and movements...

As of November 15, the "For the Poor" Fund and the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province received 71 billion 700 million VND, from which the Fund has allocated support to build and repair 1,140 "Great Solidarity" houses, 228 houses are being implemented; 63,772 gifts were given to poor households, near-poor households, policy families, meritorious people and workers; supported the "Wings of Dreams" column; "Nutrition porridge, charity meals" for poor patients at the Provincial General Hospital with over 107 million VND; gave gifts to students of the Provincial Social Protection Center, students in difficult circumstances with high academic achievements...

Calling on all classes of people to support the "Gratitude Fund" with nearly 2 billion VND (over 330 million VND at the provincial level, over 1.6 billion VND at the district level), organizing visits and giving gifts to families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with meritorious services on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

In particular, due to the severe impact of storm No. 3 causing serious damage to people and property in the districts, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to send a Letter calling for support and assistance to people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. From September 9 to November 15, the Provincial Relief Fund received 263 billion VND and 514.53 tons of necessities of all kinds. Over 75 billion VND and over 514 tons of goods were allocated to districts, cities and a number of departments and branches to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; the district level mobilized 27 billion 754 million VND, received 274.7 tons of rice and 849.5 tons of goods and necessities of all kinds, allocated 10 billion 710 million VND and 784.7 tons of goods and necessities of all kinds.

Advised the Provincial Party Committee to establish 16 delegations, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee established 4 delegations; the Fatherland Front at all levels established 1,596 delegations of Party committees and authorities to attend the "National Great Unity Day" in a number of residential areas in the province. At the Festival, the leaders of the delegations presented gifts to residential areas worth over 1.25 billion VND; presented gifts to prestigious people, poor households and policy families worth 783,723 million VND.

The coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the government and socio-political organizations has been carried out in a systematic and effective manner; the work of supervision, social criticism, and participation in Party and government building has been carried out synchronously. The fields of religious affairs, people's foreign affairs and overseas Vietnamese have been focused on, participating in policy making and promoting the role of gathering and solidarity, constantly innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, diversifying the forms of gathering, focusing on the grassroots, contributing to the effective implementation of the socio-economic development goals and tasks set out by the province.

At the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ha Nhat Le reported on the results of the Provincial People's Council's activities and key tasks in 2024; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy reported on the overview of the socio-economic situation in 2024 and key tasks for socio-economic development in 2025. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented the draft plan for social supervision and criticism in 2025.

The conference focused on discussing the following contents: Solutions to improve social criticism activities, it is necessary to select contents that have a great impact on people's lives, the objects of criticism for criticism; funding for activities; mobilization work, support for construction and elimination of temporary houses, dilapidated houses, the use of the Relief Fund; increase the level of disaster support for affected people...

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le highly appreciated the results of the Front's work in the past time. He emphasized: with the role of representing the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, the place to express the will, aspirations, and promote the people's mastery, he requested the Fatherland Front and its members to continue to grasp the situation of the people, thereby making proposals and recommendations on timely leadership and direction, and handling arising issues effectively. The Fatherland Front at all levels needs to innovate the content and methods of operation to gather and unite the people. Step up propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the key tasks of the province. Further promote the socialization of resources to jointly care for social security and call for investment in the province. Actively participate in social criticism, participate in Party and government building, focusing on arranging and organizing the apparatus of the political system, Party, government, and organizations from the province to the district according to the direction of the Central Committee and the preparation process for the Party Congresses at all levels. Build the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups in the area, first of all, take care of Tet for the people, especially pay attention to policy beneficiaries, the poor, and the disadvantaged, ensuring "No one is left without Tet", "No one is left behind".

The conference conducted a number of contents of consultation on transferring the structure with comrade Doan Thi Le An, member of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIII, the structure of experts in various fields to the structure of representative member organizations; appointing to replace the member of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIII, term 2024 - 2029 for Mr. Vi Xuan Thu, former Deputy of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Nong Thi Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to the City Fatherland Front Committee unit.

On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded the Emulation Flag of Excellent Unit to the City Fatherland Front Committee; awarded Certificates of Merit to 38 collectives and 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024 Front work.
