The Association focuses on improving farmers’ knowledge and production capacity. Every year, hundreds of training courses are organized, transferring new technical processes according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards; providing guidance on market analysis, chain linkages and digital technology applications in production management. Many pilot models are implemented in the “farmers teach farmers” method, creating a direct practice environment, helping members easily apply and form a professional commodity production mindset.
The Provincial Farmers’ Association actively supports the development and replication of effective production models. Smart agricultural models, organic agriculture, high-tech aquaculture, etc. are widely deployed. During its term, the Association has supported the establishment of 31 agricultural cooperatives, 22 cooperative groups and developed many excellent farmer clubs, contributing to increasing linkages, expanding the scale and improving the competitiveness of local agricultural products.
The Association has effectively deployed agricultural material support resources, helping members reduce input costs and stabilize production in the context of fluctuating market prices. Nearly 1,400 tons of fertilizer, more than 6,800 tons of seeds and hundreds of tons of animal feed have been supplied directly to farmers. Thanks to that, many safe and organic production models have been effective. Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc (Zone 4, Co To Special Zone) said: Joining the Organic Rice Cooperative, we are guided by the Association on safe farming techniques, disease prevention, timely planting and harvesting, and connecting with quality seed and fertilizer suppliers to improve production efficiency.
Trade promotion and market expansion activities are highlights. Many forums connecting supply and demand, trade conferences between distribution enterprises, processing factories and cooperatives are held periodically. The Association has supported more than 140 OCOP products to participate in fairs and promotional programs; at the same time, it encourages members to open online booths on e-commerce platforms. Encouraging members to use the Vietnamese Farmer App and creating more than 6,000 online sales accounts has opened up a wider and more transparent consumption space for Quang Ninh agricultural products.
The Provincial Farmers Support Fund has been effective with a total capital of over 75 billion VND, helping nearly 830 households with preferential loans to implement production linkage models. The Association has coordinated with commercial banks to entrust over 2,400 billion VND to members for economic development loans, creating conditions for farmers to boldly invest in technology, expand scale, and change production methods.
The Provincial Farmers' Association also focuses on legal consultancy, legal aid, and supporting members in accessing policies and resolving difficulties in production and life. Activities to care for social security, support households in difficulty, overcome natural disasters, provide vocational training and introduce jobs are regularly implemented, creating a widespread and effective support network. Thereby contributing to building a team of dynamic, confident farmers who can adapt to the market economy and the digital transformation process.
