Provincial Farmers' Association: Continue to effectively implement farmers' movements

After 5 years of implementing Plan No. 129-KH/HNDT of the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee on implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels have proactively innovated the content of propaganda and mobilization work in accordance with the characteristics and situation of each unit and locality.

On average, every year, the whole province has over 141,000 farming households registering to achieve the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels, of which more than 75% of households achieve the title with income ranging from several hundred million to billions of VND.

Social security activities, mutual assistance and support for people and farmer members are widely implemented. Services, support, vocational training and job creation for farmers continue to be promoted, meeting the practical needs of production and life of members and farmers.

Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have also implemented Resolutions No. 10 and 14 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (VIII term) on mobilizing farmer members to participate in collective economic development, production and trading of safe agricultural products and food, and achieved many important results.

The Association has newly established 76 cooperatives, 146 cooperative groups and 410 models of branches and professional associations; built 25 linkage chains in production, processing and consumption of products according to the value chain, promoting production to develop more and more, bringing high economic efficiency; mobilized over 680,000 farming households to sign a commitment to safe production.

Implementing Resolution No. 06 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (Term IV) on promoting the work of the Union and the farmers' movement in religious areas, farmers' unions at all levels in the province have focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, promoting patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, implementing consulting activities, supporting services, and vocational training to help farmers in general and farmers in religious associations have conditions to develop production and business to increase income.

In the period 2005-2025, the Association coordinated with the Bank for Social Policies to implement 20 preferential loan programs for poor households and ethnic minority households with special difficulties, thereby disbursing more than 2,500 billion VND to nearly 49,000 households for production development loans; supporting more than 12,300 households to borrow capital from the Farmers Support Fund with loan turnover reaching nearly 173 billion VND; creating jobs for more than 2,500 workers in ethnic minority areas.

At the conference, delegates discussed and expressed their opinions on advantages, difficulties, outstanding results, typical effective models in implementing resolutions of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, of the province and proposed solutions to carry out tasks in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Y Giang province, Gry Nie Knong, requested that all levels of the provincial Farmers' Association effectively implement Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing research and proposing to continue to reorganize the apparatus of the political system; build a truly strong Farmers' Association in the Fatherland Front with sufficient capacity to gather, unite, promote democracy and creativity of members and farmers; continue to effectively implement farmers' movements; improve the operational efficiency of collective economic models; proactively transfer and apply scientific and technological advances to production.

On this occasion, the Provincial Farmers' Association awarded certificates of merit to 14 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Plan No. 129-KH/HNDT of the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee on implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025; 39 collectives and 40 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Resolutions 06, 10, 14 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
