This is the 12th consecutive year that the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnamese Student Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center have organized the program "Honoring Valedictorians". Each model received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and cash.
Promoting the tradition of studiousness
In 2025, the “Honoring Valedictorians” program selected and honored 88 valedictorians. Of these, 40 valedictorians who were admitted to universities, colleges, academies, and junior colleges with excellent achievements all achieved admission scores of 26 points or higher (25 points or higher for college students).
40 valedictorians admitted to universities, colleges, academies, and junior colleges have 2 valedictorians with the absolute score of 30 points (not including priority points).
There are 23 valedictorians who have achieved high results in excellent student exams and subject Olympic exams at all levels; 88 students are exemplary students, 3-good students of the school and the city; 5 students participate in Youth Union activities at high schools.
Among the 48 valedictorians graduating, there are 3 students with a score of 4/4, 40 excellent bachelors and many valedictorians are Union - Association officials, won the "5 Good Students" award, January Star, scientific research awards, academic awards, participated in exchange programs and international student forums as well as published scientific articles.
Over 12 years of implementation, the program has honored 957 outstanding new students and graduates. Of these, 467 were valedictorians, 490 were valedictorians (of which 200 were excellent students, accounting for 40.8%).
88 valedictorians report Uncle Ho's achievements
On the morning of November 21, the valedictorians offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum branch in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, they offered incense at the statue of President Ton Duc Thang at the Ton Duc Thang Museum.
Nguyen Xuan Duong, valedictorian of the Vietnam Aviation Academy in Ho Chi Minh City, has always strived to promote the tradition of studiousness and determined the right learning goals.
Duong believes that in the era of digital transformation and strong integration, young people need not only solid knowledge but also courage, responsibility and a humane heart.
Dao Nhat Gia An, valedictorian of Ton Duc Thang University, is proud and honored to be honored as valedictorian.
"What makes me proud is that my efforts have been rewarded. I will always improve myself and promote the youth of Bac City on the upcoming path," An said.
On this occasion, the valedictorians also experienced a panoramic tour of Ho Chi Minh City by double-decker bus.
