Field workshop on FL 2215 potato production linkage model, in Van Ho district

January 3 ,   The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Van Ho district in collaboration with Viettrans Logistics Joint Stock Company and PepsiCo Vietnam Foods Company Limited organized a field workshop to evaluate the FL 2215 potato seed production linkage model specializing in processing in Van Ho district.

Winter crop 2023-2024, Agricultural service cooperative   Van Ho   has linked   conclude   with Viettrans Logistics Joint Stock Company planted   FL 2215 potato variety tested on an area of over 10 hectares in Xuan Nha and Van Ho communes . This is a potato variety imported from abroad and exclusively distributed by PepsiCo Food Company Limited for purchasing and processing.   Potato chips in a chain.

During the production process, the Cooperative was transferred the techniques of planting, caring, preventing pests and diseases and purchasing all products by the Company. FL 2215 potato variety has many advantages: strong growth, many layers of tubers, resistant to complex weather, good resistance to pests and diseases, especially aphids, green wilt, and downy mildew. Potatoes meet high requirements for size, quality and uniformity. The average yield is 20-35 tons/ha, if cultivated and cared for well, it can reach 45 tons/ha.   with purchase price at the field is 7,000 VND/kg.

After the workshop, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Van Ho district continued to promote and replicate the model, provide training and guidance on the process of planting, caring for and linking production of FL 2215 potato varieties, forming concentrated, effective and sustainable raw material areas, increasing income for local people./.
